Chapter 3

As Yuji and the others left the facility, the students deeply wished for the safety of the teacher. And so, they continue to run following Yuji, who seemed to know what to do.

"So where are we heading?" the red-haired student asked, "you seem to have a plan... you also said you were confident about your knowledge about the Akumas...".

"I'll explain everything soon, " Yuji replied, "right now we need to get a full grasp of the situation,".

"what do you mean?" the ponytailed girl asked.

"That Akuma came from the main hall, right? the girl earlier seemed like she was from a fight or something, her messy uniform and bloodstains... and the Akuma's appearance can be the proof of it," Yuji said.

"so you're saying there might be more Akumas out there, and you want to make sure whether it's an outbreak or under controlled?" said the red-haired student.

"Yeah... but the chances of this being under control is low, " Yuji said, "anyway, we just need to find out if the school is now in chaos or not, as safely as possible."

"How are you planning to do that?" the afro haired student asked.

"We need to find the schools nearest weaponry, " Yuji replied.

"Oh yeah the school's weaponry," the afro haired student said, " I remember they have specialized weapons there, we're sure to find fitting weapons since one weaponry has specialized weapons for classes D to A,"

"I see..." said the red-haired student, "normally we need a teacher's permission to hold a specialized weapon, but on this case...".

"Then let's go to the weaponry, there's one on that building right?" the ponytailed girl said.

"That's the plan" Yuji replied.

And so, they continue to run fast, in order to get to the building across the facility, going through the courtyard.

When they reached the see-through glass door, leading to the inside of the building, everyone stopped.

Yuji took a deep breath before opening the door, then after a short moment he went inside and had a look.

"it's... completely deserted, " said the ponytailed girl.

the hallways lead to three directions, had no presence of people, and was unusually quiet.

"People just don't normally go here, right?" the afro-haired student said in a fearful manner, "maybe they're all just in class?"

"hopefully," Yuji replied, "let's investigate the place if we can see anyone who can help,"

"If I remember correctly there were people heading to class from here earlier," the ponytailed girl said, "they had bags and everything, they were heading on all directions,"

"So that means there might be classrooms ahead," Yuji said.

Yuji and the others moved forward to the middle hallway, seeking for help.

As they walk through the area Yuji noticed a classroom door.

"hey, the sign on top of the door says E-3," Yuji said as he pointed at the classroom door, "that is definitely a classroom, "

As they all stood in front of the classroom door, Yuji grabbed the doorknob and slid the door open.

opening the door, everyone was shocked.

"Huh?" the ponytailed girl said in a nervous tone.

"This classroom is... completely deserted, " the girl with the thick long hair said.

"Maybe they didn't have classes today," the afro-haired person said, obviously being nervous.

"Look, there are still some bags left, and the desks, looks like it was nudged from all over," Yuji said as he observed the room, "whatever the reason, it looks like the people in here left in a hurry,"

After getting the whole picture of the room, everyone was impaled with horrifying thoughts on what the situation might be.

"But... how? " The afro-haired student said in a shaky voice, "isn't it a bit too fast? leading to this situation?"

"We don't know that yet, " Yuji quickly replied, "while that's certainly possible, we can't be sure just yet, we just have to be more careful,"

"yeah..." the afro haired student said, trying to regain his composure, "sorry about that hehe, your right! We just have to be careful, and if the situation is really bad then we can just hold out until the military comes, right?"

"Yeah that's right, " Yuji said.

"What should we do now?" the long-haired student asked.

"Let's keep searching for the weapon room, and check out the whole place carefully while we're at it, " Yuji said.

And so, Yuji and the other students left in search of the weapon room while checking other areas for possible information.

After a few minutes.

"All classrooms had the same look," said the ponytailed girl, "left behind items and clear signs of a rush to get out,".

"Though there are some differences," said the red-haired student.

"Like what?" the ponytailed girl asked.

"Some rooms didn't show signs of a rush to get out, " the red-haired student stated, "some rather looked like a brawl took place at the classroom,".

Everyone was struck silent.

while walking the ponytailed student saw something, making her suddenly stop.

"Hey!" the ponytailed girl said, taking everyone's attention.

"It's a sign leading to the location of the weapon room!" the afro haired student said with joy.

While everyone gathered to look at the sign, the long-haired student saw a moving figure from a distance in the same direction leading to the weapon room.

"Hey it's another student!" the long-haired student said as she ran towards the student from a distance, "hey! Mister!".

As she went closer to the student, she noticed that the person had an odd form, definitely not like how a normal student would stand.

" Mister, can you..." As the long-haired female student came closer, she suddenly stopped. Not being able to move due to shock and fear of the situation she realized she was in.

As the student turned around, she saw that the student had greyish flesh and darkening eyes, realizing that it was not a person, she stood still, frozen.

"Raaaggghhh" the loud noise of the Akuma echoed throughout the hallway as it runs towards the long-haired student.

Everyone saw what was happening, couldn't move due to shock and fear.

"You fucking shit!" Yuji yelled as he quickly ran towards the running Akuma.

Yuji deflected one of its arms and used it as an open opportunity for a hard hit on the head. He spun and used his whole-body weight to make the hit more impactful as he swings his right arm.

SMACK*

The Akuma quickly drops down to the floor, being unconscious.

"WHAT THE HECK!?" Yuji said in a loud voice, he then stopped to breathe and regained his composure. Walking towards the others, he then continues, "compared to that monster earlier, this was just an obviously newly turned Akuma,"

Walking closer, "I thought I was supposed to be the weakling here?" Yuji said.

A short silence occurred.

"Sorry, forget about it, " Yuji said, "unlike you guys, I was always in danger because other students pick on me a lot, I guess this is just a perk of having no ability,".

The silence occurred for a little longer.

"So... shall we go to the weapon room?" the ponytailed girl asked, breaking the ice.

"I think we should forget about it, " Yuji replied.

"Huh? Why?!" the afro haired student asked in confusion, "we already know which direction the weapon room is, and because of that Akuma right there, means that now we really need those weapons right?"

"It's because of that Akuma right there, is why we should forget about it, " Yuji replied.

"Huh?" the afro haired student said, being confused, along with the others.

"Think about it, " Yuji said, "If there was an Akuma around, and everyone in the building was alarmed, where would the people try to go?"

"the...weapon room?" the ponytailed girl said hesitantly.

"And when students get their hands on those specialized weapons what would they do?" Yuji asked.

"To kill the Akuma of course, " the afro-haired student answered.

"then why is there a newly turned Akuma roaming around here, right where the direction of the weapon room leads to?" Yuji replied.

sudden faint noise came from the end of the hallway.

"If I remember correctly there were many empty classrooms with signs of rush, " Yuji said as he turned around.

The faint noise became louder and louder, as they hear many footsteps coming closer.

The faint noise then turned to growls. And as they stand in the hallways with fear, the source of the noise and growls emerged from the end of the long hallway.

The source was a horde of Akumas walking down the end of the hallway going to their direction.

As everyone was struck with fear Yuji suddenly turned around and shouted out " RUN!!"

Waking up from Yuji's shout, everyone subconsciously followed Yuji as he runs towards the opposite direction from the Akumas.

The Akumas sees the students, roaring loudly, the whole horde came running after them.
