Chapter 4

"Shit, where should we go!?" the red-hair student asked, running for their lives.

"I know a good place, I saw it earlier while we were looking for information, " Yuji replied.

And so, everyone followed Yuji. Making a right turn in the hallway, they went inside the second nearest door.

As Everyone got inside, they quickly shut the door.

Everyone stayed quiet, tightening their lungs, covering their mouths, as they hear the loud growls and running footsteps passing outside the door.

The room had no windows, making them unable to see outside.

After a few minutes, the noise stopped, as everyone stayed silent, feeling numb.

After a short moment.

"I think we should be good now, " Yuji said in a soft voice, "let's just keep our voices down for now,"

Everyone slowly moved and observed the area they were in.

the area was not too narrow yet not wide with four cement tables placed on the area, and walls filled with cabinets, containing varieties of equipment.

"This is... a science lab?" said the ponytailed girl, "why bring us here?"

"Besides other rooms, this was probably our best bet, " Yuji replied, "since it got multiple types of equipment we might be able to use,"

"You're right, " the afro-haired student replied, searching inside the closet "it's got even those long metal pipes... why are they here?"

"So, what now?" the red-haired student asked, "it's possible that the whole school is already in chaos,"

Everyone was silent for a moment.

"If that's the case, then our only choice, for now, is to survive, " Yuji replied.

"And how are we going to do that?" the red-haired student asked.

"We can't stay here forever," said the ponytailed girl, "let's think of where we should be heading first,"

"The military could be on their way," the long-haired girl said.

"Then that means we need somewhere open right?" the afro-haired student said.

"Yeah, if you can stand your ground against all Akumas in the area, I wouldn't mind stopping you, " said the red-haired student.

"uhh, never mind," said the afro-haired student, "you have to be seriously powerful to do that..."

The ponytailed girl observed everyone. Looking to her left, she noticed the long-haired girl with her had shivering hands and an anxious expression, "Hey guys how about we relax for a moment, " she said, "you're all getting too hyped up, why don't we introduce each other first? we don't know each other's names yet,"

"Is it really the time for that though?" said the red-haired student, as his voice tenses up.

"No, she's right, " Yuji said, stepping up, "we won't be able to think straight if we're being too tense, let's do introductions, it's definitely essential to know what to call the others as well as what they're capable of to survive, don't you think?"

Noticing the girl behind them, the red-haired student takes a deep breath, "your right, sorry about that,".

"My name is Ryan, " Ryan (the red-haired student) said as he begins to introduce himself.

"Ryan Fiord, my class is A..."

Everyone suddenly came close to Ryan with admiring faces.

"I knew it!" the afro-haired student said.

"Your ability, what is it?" the ponytailed student asked.

"ca...calm down..." Ryan said, "I might be an A-class, but don't expect too much," he let out a sigh, "my ability is called Quake, I can cause vibrations to the area around me within 10 meters, I can also adjust the volume of the vibrations, I can make little shake enough to be felt, and I can go full force knocking everyone within range down, the strength and range of my ability increases when I get injected, making it a little hard for me to control,"

"Cool, that's definitely useful," the Afro-haired student said.

"Wait till you hear the catch, " Ryan replied, "when I activate my ability, I won't be able to move, if I do, I'll get knocked down myself, making my ability wear off, "

"Oh... so you can't walk around while using it, " the ponytailed girl said, "it might be a downside, but it's still a pretty cool ability, " she smiled.

"Then I'm next, my name is Jaspher Gilman, " said the afro-haired student, "my ability isn't anything rare, it's just a regular physical boost, and my class is C, nice to meet you!"

"You know you don't have to be so polite," said the ponytailed girl, "then I'm next, my name is Layla Aegis, my class is also C, my ability when injected is thermal vision, I can see body heats even through walls.

"Now that's definitely useful, " Yuji whispered.

"I'm...Elizabeth Aegis" said the long-haired girl, in a shy manner.

"Aegis... so your siblings?" Jaspher asked.

"Yes..." Elizabeth replied, "my class is D, but my ability can heal from scratches to certain fatal wounds,".

"Woah, a healer!" Jaspher said, "then we can get injured and keep getting healed right?"

"Yeah but if you get bitten it won't help you," Yuji said.

"Ack! your right, How about you?"

Yuji made an awkward face,

"My name is Yuji Amanda..."

he then glanced away.

everyone was silent for a moment

"that's...all...."

After what Yuji said, they were suddenly reminded of what Yuji's reputation was.

"Basing from your looks, it seems that you guys already know me, " Yuji said, looking at everyone's expressions.

An awkward silence occurred for a short moment.

"anyways," Ryan said, breaking the silence, "now that we're calm, let's think about what we should do next,"

"I already thought of something, " Yuji said.

"That was fast, " said Layla.

"My first plan was to get you guys some weapons and get back to teacher as fast as possible," Yuji said, "but basing from our current situation, it seems that won't be possible,"

"So, you actually intend to help our teacher first, huh?" Layla said, "I... didn't even think of that..."

"I don't think any of us did, " said Ryan, sounding guilty.

"That's completely normal in our current situation, " said Yuji, "it was a shock to everyone, it can't be helped,"

"Heh... are you saying you're not normal?" Ryan said in a soft blurry whispery voice as if he was talking to himself.

"So, what's the other plan you came up with?" Said Ryan.

"We're going to see my friend, " Yuji said.

"Huh!?" Ryan replied in shock.

"You're joking right?" Jaspher said.

"No, " Yuji said, "Basing from what you said earlier, we need the power to hold out against a lot of Akumas, which doesn't mean that one of us has to be that strong, more likely, we need more people,"

"So, your saying we need manpower huh?" Ryan said, "but how can you be so sure that this person you referring to isn't dead yet?"

Yuji smirked and said, "there's no way she will go down that easily, I bet she already gathered people together and are currently holding out, "

"she?" Layla said.

"Ummm..." Elizabeth mumbled as if she was trying to say something, "If I may ask?"

"yeah?" Yuji replied.

"Is the girl you're referring to Ms. Erina?"

Yuji nodded.

"Wait, as in, Erina Ainsworth!?" Jaspher asked, being completely shocked.

"So, you're telling me you're friends with The strongest student in this school?" Ryan asked, in a doubting tone.

"I knew you wouldn't believe me easily," Yuji said, "so Elizabeth, how did you know I was talking about her?"

"I've heard rumors, " Elizabeth replied " saying that you and Erina are commonly seen together, nobody believes that you were friends, but when I saw you two, I could tell..."

"Coming from Elizabeth, I believe it, " Layla said.

"All right, let's assume that's true, " Ryan said, "then the plan is to get to Ms. Erina's location?"

Yuji nodded, " that's pretty much our best bet,"

"So where is she now?" Jaspher asked.

Yuji made another awkward face, "at the east testing facility, " he replied.

everyone suddenly went silent for a few seconds.

"Aren't we at the far west right now?" Layla said.

"This... is going to be rough," Said Ryan.
