Chapter 29 Humane

So, Samanthas in the hospital. I said while sipping a warm cup of coffee. But you already knew that.

I was sitting with Tobi in Big Sur Bakery, catching up with him after not seeing him for a week. Luckily, the guy who thought I was a serial killer wasnt there, and so I was able to drink my drink in peace.

Yep. I think everyone does. Tobi murmured, his eyes downcast. After all, why wouldnt we?

I mumbled some unintelligent response to his question. I wasnt sure quite what to say. Without Samantha, the atmosphere wasnt as even as it was before. It felt off in the most negative way.

I have to ask Anton about the hospital soon. He still hasnt told me the details of what happened. He gave me a mysterious answer and I didnt follow through with a question. Also, I think I want to fit in a trip to the prison soon. With everything stacking up, I think thats an area we need to keep our eyes trained.
