Lyrica Versus The Mother Bee

When she violently pulled the Wither Bees' heads out of their bodies, their bodily fluids sprayed all over her.

"Yeck!" Lyrica grunted in disgust as she looks at herself. "I'm gonna need to take a shower

after this."

Lyrica throws away the heads of the Wither Bees before turning her attention towards the last monster alive.

'The Mother Bee. If I recall correctly, it was fifteen levels above its children.'

Compared to its children, the Mother Bee's level is at Lv. 40. Does the Mother Bee's significant level makes it stand above the rest in terms of agility and the effects of its sting? That might certainly be the case.

Even so, that doesn't matter to Lyrica. If anything, she like the idea of getting more experience points that gets multiplied by more than 15×.

"Just in case, are you not gonna spawn anymore Wither Bees?"

The Mother Bee watches in silence as the girl shrugs her shoulders after not getting a response.

"Well, that was a stupid question."

Lyrica dashes forth. As she hears the sound of the Mother Bee's wings buzzing, the girl noticed that the creature isn't going at her, let alone try to maneuver around her and avoid her attacks. It's almost as if the Mother Bee isn't the least bit afraid of Lyrica despite witnessing the deaths of its children in the girl's hands.

This causes Lyrica to pull the breaks before she gets closer to the creature.

"What are you doing?" Lyrica said in wonder while facing the direction to where the Mother Bee is afloat. "Does seeing the death of your children shocked you so much that only the muscles in your wings are the ones that can move?"

Yet again, Lyrica didn't get any response. The Mother Bee remains as still as stone in the same spot, but Lyrica can feel that the creature is staring at her, and that's what makes her feel somewhat uneasy.

'This will not be pretty."

Right at that moment...

SCREEEECHH!!!

"Wha?!"

The Mother Bee lets out a very loud cry.

"Damn it... My headphone's not enough to cover my ears!"

The scream lasts longer than its previous screams, but the Mother Bee eventually stops.

"Damn yo–!"

Stab!

"Ack...!"

Lyrica tried to regain an upright posture after the ordeal. But in that instant, a sting that's larger than any other struck the girl on her waist. Not only did the sting went a little deeper, but she was also hit hard that she got pushed back by a couple of meters and almost lost her footing.

"T-That damn insect..." Lyrica grunts painfully as she grits her teeth while trying to pull the sting out of her waist. "It used its scream to camouflage the sound of its wings changing when it fired the sting."

Lyrica successfully pulled out the sting, leaving behind a hole in her school uniform that's soaked in Wither Bees' bodily fluids, as well as a shriveled waist and right palm.

"I guess you weren't just buzzing your wings idly after–"

BUZZZZ!

"Wha—!"

Without giving her a leeway, the Mother Bee goes in to strike. Lyrica narrowly dodges the sting sticking out of its butt, albeit it grazed her right cheek before she falls to the ground.

'It's so fast, I could barely predict when it's coming.'

And unlike the other Wither Bees before, the Mother Bee appears to have complete control with its flight as it quickly turns around and attempts another attack while carrying the same momentum.

'Damn it!'

Lyrica goes back up and tries to get away, but the Mother Bee who proved faster than any normal Wither Bee forces the girl in one spot and dodge every single attack with everything she's got.

"Damn it!"

From firing its sting to then charging at the girl head-on, the Mother Bee's endless attacks leave cuts and slashes through Lyrica's blazers and her undershirt, her skirt, as well as her stockings.

"Tch!"

And the sting that was responsible for those cuts and grazes causes the skin around those damages Lyrica received to wither.

'How troublesome... I need to get to the honey.'

But even if she wants to, the reason why the Mother Bee isn't stopping from attacking her is that it doesn't want Lyrica to get to the honey and heal herself up.

As time passes, Lyrica is receiving more and more cuts and grazes, but she could not do anything except for getting fed up by the fact that she's powerless before the speed of the Mother Bee. But then, the girl opened her eyes, even though she couldn't see a thing at all.

"I've had enough."

With a stern gaze into nothingness, Lyrica stops and stood still in one place. The Mother Bee sees it as an opportunity to finally deal with the killing blow behind Lyrica. But as the creature gets closer and closer with its sting perfectly aimed for the girl's defenseless back, the girl suddenly turns around.

She stretches her left arm forward, only for the sting to drive through it.

"Aargh!"

Blood starts gushing out through her impaled hand but soon stopped as the said hand begins to dry out. The speed of the Mother Bee causes Lyrica to get dragged across the beehive. Still, she managed to keep her feet on the ground.

As soon as the Mother Bee slowed down...

"Ggrrah!"

Lyrica violently pulls her hand out of the sting, she stood right behind the Mother Bee and wraps her arms around it.

"Die!"

Right then, Lyrica performed a german suplex onto the Mother Bee with all her might. Lyrica takes her arms away from the creature and then falls. She then rolls over to avoid the creature's body from falling right on top of her face.

She uses the moment to go straight to the honey, leaving behind the Mother Bee whose head got hammered to the thick wax surface.

Lyrica grabs a handful of honey with both hands and drinks it all. Seconds later, all the cuts and grazes all over her body, as well as the hole in her waist and her hand has disappeared.

"You... You ruined my uniform, and you forced me to do something I never thought I could do until now. But despite that, you're still alive."

When Lyrica did the german suplex onto the Mother Bee which even she was surprised that she did, she was expecting to hear the notice that says she have finally defeated the creature. But she heard nothing.

"Hey, are you playing dead? With your stupid intelligence, the only idea that you could muster up is to play dead? Or are you waiting for me to put my guard down and kill me in that instant? Drop it. Whatever you're planning, that is."

It looks as though the creature understood her when she said it, but the Mother Bee begins to flutter its wings rapidly and gets itself up in mid-air.

"You're faster than the first ones I fought." Said the girl towards the creature. "My current agility could barely keep up with your speed. But I gotta say, I don't think your current display of agility portrays his. I need to expect the worst."

The Mother Bee fires three large stings towards Lyrica.

"Putting that aside for now, it's time to end this."

Following her declaration, Lyrica presses a button in her headphones.

As the stings get dangerously close, Lyrica takes a casual stand and uttered:
