A Hunch

"What is that?!"

After getting closer to the town of Eisvel, Erika was finally able to see what Lyrica and Likas sensed earlier.

"How many are there...?"

"Too many to count," Likas answered the horrified Erika.

At that moment, Lyrica summoned her headphones. "Likas, you don't mind if I end up killing some of them, do you?"

"Living and dying is just another cog among many others that keep the world in balance, thus giving all life the freedom they deserve," Likas stated as they come closer and closer to the town of Eisvel. "The world has its way to correct itself, even without us guardians. So don't let your worries shackle your freedom to decide what you think is right."

Likas's answer drew a contented smile on Lyrica's face.

"That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you."

Erika watched Lyrica as she started sprinting forward, intending to do a high jump.

"I'll leave the rest to you and Erika."

"All right."
