"Customer's are always right! Do you job right the next time, okay?!"
I gritted my teeth and secretly glares at the manager of the resto I worked at. It's been what, 4 years? I've been treated like this almost my whole life! Did I complain? Outloud, no. Deep inside, I just want to get a knife and stab my pulse and end it all at once.
"Oh, I'll do my job right!" I fought back back, removing my apron and throwing it on her. "Because I quit and I will find a new job, a better one with respectful manager and co-workers! Bye!"
I turned my back on her and hurriedly walk towards the door, ignoring her yells.
"What?! You can't fucking do that- get back here! Get the fuck nack here! You freak- "
Her words was cut off when I finally slam her filthy office's door. I also glared at those people who mistreated me while working here. Their eyes widens in shock when they saw me getting my things and threw name plate in the trashcan near the entrace.
I didn't get it inside but it's okay, I'm leaving anyway so I don't care if I failed shooting the name plate in the trashcan.
'That was so embarrassing! I plan to walk away with pride!' I thought, hiding my burning face out of shame.
I looked away and ignored every person I'm passing by with until I got out of the resto. I smiled, letting go of the frustrations I felt. This is the freedom I want. Worrying about nothing, not thinking about customer's nonsense rants, and not thinking about meeting people who will eventually ruin my day-
"Ow shi- dude! What the fuck?!"
My eyes widened and my lips parted as I felt a cold water dripping from my head, my forehead hurts because I bumped to a talking wall. I smell coffee scent! I groaned in pain, caressing my forehead.
"What the hell?! I just got that coffee, you know?!" annoyance was dripping in his voice.
He's a human! A tall, ripped, jerk of a guy! His jaw moved as he stepped more towards me while he points at his empty, ruined small cup. I ignored his furious eyes and rolled my eyes.
"So?" I looked at him from head to toe before smiling. "Oh, apology accepted."
"I'm not apologizing!" He shouts, getting some attentions from the crowds.
"See this? Huh?" I pointed my head. "This is because of your stupidity. Got that? I don't plan to waste my effort to idiots like you."
I raised a brow at him, he surely looks surprised but I don't care, I gestured him to move aside so I can pass by even thought there's a huge space for walking. See? There's so much space but he bumped into me and he's blaming me for spilling his lovely coffee when it's clearly his fault. I even walked on the side so no one would bump me!
'He really is stupid.' I said on my mind as I watch him slowly stepping back to the side, looking at me with unreadable emotions.
I never want to see that face again. Towering me like I'm small- well, I am small but he doesn't have to slap it on my face by towering over me! And he looks like a gangster for gang's sake. The way his eyes dilate in anger, his jaw trembled in annoyance, and his hand fold into fist like he's ready to punish me ruthlessly is kind making me nervous. Good thing I'm in a good mood.
"I know a job for you, Alis!" my cousin, Jason, clicked his can beer with my bottled juice. "You just have to be a personal servant of the families' eldest son. I heard that they give $80 for payment a week."
"W-Where... is... that..." My eyes sparkled as the weekly salary was pulling me in. I can almost imagine swimming in a bathtub full of money just like in the movies! I put my hands on his shoulder and started to shake him. "Tell me!"
"Stop it alread- I'm getting dizzy!" He slapped my hand amd shook his head, blinking. "Shit! I'm really getting dizzy, dumbass!"
"Just tell me!" I pouted, furrowing my brows.
"I'll send you the contact! God..." he mumbled and fished out his phone. "There! Now, go. I can't get women when you're with me. Tsh!"
"Thank you!" I gave him a flying kiss, jumping while hugging my phone where the contact i need was saved. "Thank you, Lord!"
I went to my cheap, super small, and filthy apartment and sent a message to the contact.
"Good afternoon, Ma'am/Sir! I heard about the job offering. I am willing to serve your son and I promise I'm really not quitting! I really needed the job, Ma'am/Sir, so if you please, give me a chance to prove myself. I will take care of your son and oblige to his orders(right and good orders only). Please text or call back, hehe!" I said, reading my text outloud, cjecking if there's a typo or something. "And I just have to wait- Oh my jolly! They're calling back so quick!"
I panicked when my phone rang, the number I texted called back immediately, making me nervous that I unconsciously answered the call. My eyes widened in shock and panic.
"H-Hello?" I took a deep breath, calming myself.
"Good afternoon." A calm, strict voice welcomed me. I got even more nervous! "I read your message and so far, you're the only one I find suiting for this job. But one question, can you really take this job seriously without having to think of quitting?"
"Of course, Ma'am! I will!" I said, half yelling.
"Are you sure?" The doubts in her voice made me more worried than nervous. "Seems like you don't know but hundreds of people already tried to take this job but none remained, the longest day they stayed is three days."
"H-Huh?!" My eyes widened. "T-Then, Ma'am, I promised to stay for as long as I am needed!"
I needed this job- I mean, the money! And I'm sure I can handle my soon to be master since Icm so used of hardworks and efforts. It just got me thinking, why does the people who worked to serve the family's eldest son quits with only just days? I meam, three days?! Not even a week!
Now, I'm nervous and curious.
I prayed to God for the family's son not to be a ghost or a crazy person but when I came to their huge house- scratch that, not even the word mansion fits what I should call this huge kingdom-like house is! If it were a normal day, I would've drooled and daydream about living here like a prince but when I met the person I will be serving, my eyes widened.
"I know you!" I said, loud, as I pointed at the person who I bumped yesterday. "You're the guy who- "
"Excuse me, but I really don't recall meeting you." His voice was calm, and so is his expressionless face.
"But I swear, I really bumped into you!" I even remember him cursing at me. "You're holding a coffee- " I stopped talking when I saw his bracelet. The lace is grey, not red like what I saw him wearing yesterday. "Oh, then maybe it was your twin I bumped into yesterday?"
I was about to tell him about his twin brother's attitude when he stands, shocking me when he held my wrist tightly. I flinched in pain.
"You met him?" He asked eyes starting to let out emotion. "What did he do?"
Now, I'm getting more nervous. Why did Mrs. Lynne, the headservant, even have to leave us two alone reasoning that this guy and me should have a talk first?
"Err, your twin bumped into me yesterday and cursed me and blamed me then I left!" I said, fast and loud. "Even though it was his fault! I even smelled lile coffee because he literally have me a shower with his loving coffee- "
"Look here, Mr. whoever-you-are," His eyes dilated just like his twin but the emotion in is eyes speaks warning. "He is very mad at you. He even drew your fave with an X mark on it so you better leave before I turn- "
"Are you serious? Let go of me!" I glared at him, removing his grip on my wrist. "I am here to work! I need money! Don't just tell someone who will serve you to leave. That's disrespectful- "
"Better than having your whole life terrible and with trauma! Leave now or else, I'll let the guards kick you out of here!" He shouted, voice dripping with frustration. He runs his fingers through his no-so-messy-and-curly hair. "Just please, leave."
"Oh, pardon me but I promise not to quit and I'll do my job because I need money- "
"I'll give you money, name you price." He sighed, starting to calm down a bit but the panic in his eyes is still visible.
"I don't just get money for free." I rolled my eyes. "You see, I was raised with morals and... and... and... what's happening to you?! Are you okay?!"
"Leave before he appears." He warned me, eyes starting to dilate again. "Come on, just leave already- "
"Uwaah!!!"
I screamed in terror when his calm face turned to a ruthless one. My eyes widened when I saw him smirked evily. He looked at me like a predator ready to kill his target prey and it is really scary! I feel like I'm gonna die any minute now- wait a minute!
"What?" He asked, brows furrowing when I calm down and gave him a confused look. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"So, you don't have a twin?" I made sure so I know who to feel what for. "So, you're the person I'm disappointed with?"
"Huh?" He asked again, voice starting to sound normal.
"I mean, the one who poured coffee on my head." I gave him a you-know look. "I really want to punch that guy- I mean, you,"
"I am him. I'm Cassius." He said, then, in a span of seconds, the ruthless look of his came back again. "And I really, really want to kill you about what you did yesterday, calling me names and ordering me like you own me- "
"Then, I should be scared?" I look closely at him, seeing if this is just a prank or what.
"Look more closely before you blood splatter on the floor with you swimming in it- "
"I should really be scared." I said nodding, mind wandering elsewhere. Then, when he stepped forward, I lost it. "Uwaah!!! Help me!!!"
He's a monster! A cunning monster!
There, I figured that Creed, my master, has a split personality of two and the other personality is the reason why the people who serves him didn't worked longer than three days!
Everything went black.
