The morning bell at Blossoms Academy rang and all the students were seated properly. In room 2-A, the class for the sophomore students with the highest grades in the previous exams, a lady opened the door and walked into the podium.
"Hello students. I'm your homeroom teacher for this school year, Ms. Senn. And it is Senn with two Ns. I am a teacher from abroad. Any questions?"
A girl raised her hand.
"Yes?"
"Is there particular reason to why they hired a teacher from abroad? Is it related to the subject you will be teaching?"
"Well, you see. Everyone! You have a new foreign exchange student who will be studying with you!" Ms. Senn smiled brilliantly.
She then gestured to the girl sitting right next to An Qi, who was in the left corner of the back row.
"This is Lydia, and she is also from abroad, so she doesn't speak the language here. Be kind to her as she tries to learn a different language! And remember! This is Blossoms Academy, even if she doesn't speak your language fluently, it doesn't means she won't excel here!"
"Yes, Ms. Senn."
"Alright, now my cute students! Let's open your literature textbook to page 2, we'll began Unit 1 straight away!"
Everyone noticed the underlying warning in her words. Even if Lydia doesn't speak their language, she still has the ability to be accepted into such a prestigious school, so she shouldn't be underestimated.

Ms. Senn is a fun teacher...she isn't ignorant nor arrogant like some other teachers, so this school year may actually turn out for the better.
It's not like the original teacher had an accident or something...hehe...
Susia Tars was suppose to become a teacher at Blossoms Academy, and eventually ended up as class 2-A's teacher due to recent lack of staffs and some tricks she pulled. Considering this IS a top-tier school, she did planned a lot of things in order for her transition to be smooth.
Susia Tars was a teacher who would turn a blind eye to all the bad, like the bullying and injustice Su Lifei will suffer. Then she'll also promote everything that benefited her, including changing grades and accepting briberies.
She didn't get caught due to her careful setup but as such a villain she was, Su Lifei and Mu Youcheng caught her in the end. The corrupted staff suffered and died in prison.
Now though, An Qi took cared of her beforehand, she didn't want to have that sort of person even step into the learning environment she plans on enjoying as Lan Ziyan. She didn't like that kind of person and it'll be bad for young students to be exposed to such a horrible influence.
It didn't take much with the school's influence. An Qi just dropped some hints here and there, so Susia Tars got caught quite easily. She didn't even try to cover up as much as she used to with how much she had gotten away with already.
Susia Tars ended up with a life sentence just like the original plot. Hopefully she dies faster this time.
"H-hello!" Oh, someone is trying to talk to her.
"Hello." A perfect smile is always the way to greet someone with a friendly impression.
An Qi's demeanor seem to give the foreign student some more confidence. "I-I'm Lydia, what is your n-name?"
"Nice to meet you, Lydia! My name is Lan Ziyan."
"Lan...Zzz...Yen?" Lydia is struggling with pronunciation.
"You can just call me Ziyan!" Using a nickname should be easier.
"Zzz-yen?"
"That's good!"
"Ok! Thank you Zzz-yen!" Lydia smiled with joy at finally getting it right.
'Wow, what a dazzling smile.' An Qi thought as she reciprocated with an equally bright smile. 'She'll be popular for sure, as long as the language barrier doesn't become too much of a problem.'
Actually, now that An Qu thought about it. How about making her own group of "popular girls"? And Lydia is definitely qualified to be part of it! All she need to get is gather a group of people with "popular" potential!
This would be fun! The kind of fun she will not miss out on!
"Hey Lydia?"
"Y-yes?"
"Want to form a friend group with me?"
An Qi can already see the confusion on her face.
"F-friend, group?"
"Well it's only just the two of us for now, but we can go find more people to be part of our group!"
"Oooh...friend group! Yes!" Despite the language barrier Lydia managed to figure out what she was trying to convey. Perhaps she has some talent in communication?
"We can look for more members for our group after school! Do you have time to meet!"
"I do!"
"Alright then, let's go meet at the canteen right after our last class!"
"Ok!"
The two girls in the left corner of class 2-A began the plan of forming the most popular group in Blossoms Academy!

They met in the school's canteen as planned, but what wasn't planned was the extra person. However, it wasn't a negative surprise.
"Zzz-yen! This is C-chen...Tan...Luuu...umm. This is Lulu!"
"Hi, I'm Chen Tanglu (陈糖露). But as Lydia called me, you can just call me Lulu. I'm more used to that. She invited me to join a...friend group?"
"My name is Lan Ziyan. But you may call me Ziyan. I'm glad Lydia managed to get someone else to join our little group!"
"What is this group about?"
"I'm also so glad you asked! Why, are you interested?" An Qi gave her a mysterious smile.
"We plan on becoming the most popular group in Blossoms Academy!" Lydia exclaimed, carrying on their act.
An Qi internally shed a tear of pride, they only just met each other today but their teamwork is already so immaculate!
"Well...I can't say I'm not curious, and this sound like a bunch of fun. I do want to be friends with you guys too, you both seem to be the type of people I would get along with." Lulu pondered.
"Does that mean—" An Qi started.
"—you are in on this?" Lydia finished.
Lulu showed a smile much like the ones the other two had previously been exchanging back in class.
"Of course!"

So far so well, An Qi's plan of creating a group is coming along slowly but surely. Her motives for creating such a group though, is not merely because of the excitement. It's also part of building her influence in Blossoms Academy.
For a high school life and even in the real world, especially for the high-class, reputation is very important. Even if one person is oh-so powerful, if the public do not have a good impression of them, they can only go so far.
Connections are also crucial and making such a group can expand her social network. The group itself will also be quite trustworthy and reliable since it is made up of all these people who managed to get in a place like Blossoms Academy.
As for the main leads? Forget about Su Lifei and Mu Youcheng. An Qi's going to make them look like some extra characters. They're too busy playing with whatever they're occupied with, some sickly funny romantic plot or something.
She has appointments to meet and more people to recruit for her budding group.
