"What! You guys are already leaving? Won't you guys have your very first dance as husband and wife?" Olivia asked while furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.
Ethan arched his eyebrows at Olivia who still had a frown on her forehead while his parents had an irritated look on their faces..
Whereas, Katherine just glanced at Ethan, trying to read his expression...
Observing his expression keenly, she proclaimed that he was not at all pleasant with Olivia's demand. So she thought to deny the whole idea of dance by shutting her friend's mouth.
"Oli.. I think we should drop the idea of dance. I don't think Ethan is comfortable with it." Katherine tried to interject..
"But Kathy.. Every newlyweds have their first dance before-----"
Olivia tried to retort but Katherine's single glare made her shut her mouth in fear of getting a huge scolding from her best friend..
Ethan noticed the secret interaction between both of them and thought to make them aware of his presence.
His attention first fell on Katherine as he asked while narrowing his eyes, "Who told that I'm not comfortable in dancing? You should shoo away all of these ideas from your little mind."
Katherine's eyes turned wide like a saucer hearing him as she stood their silent like an obedient child, making a small smile appear on Ethan's lips.
He then turned his face towards his wife's bestie and explained, "Olivia.. You're right about every couple having their first dance after taking their wedding vows...
It's actually more like a custom to complete. However, our case is a little different here. Actually, my parents have a flight to catch in few hours..
So they couldn't help but hurry. But if Katherine wants then we can definitely spare few minutes before leaving."
Katherine's mother who already knew about their flight time, interrupted them, "No Ethan. It's just a dance. You guys can have it at any other time..
But if your parents miss the flight, then they have to book another one. And the money will also go into a complete waste. It's better to fed some poor people with those money other than wasting it."
"Sorry… I didn't know about the whole case. So I just spoke out my mind. Aunty is right. You guys should leave immediately now." Olivia apologized sincerely.
Ethan gave her a short smile and said, "It's okay. I'd too have done the same if I was in your place."
"Hehehe.. Thanks Ethan.. Wait! I can call you by your name, right?" Olivia suddenly wondered out of nowhere.
Ethan chuckled at her question and replied, "Yes.. You definitely can."
Katherine beamed as she witnessed the friendly side of her husband who was too cool to get along with anyone.
Mr. Blackwood who was seeing the exchange of words between his son-in-law, daughter and her friend, couldn't help but thank God for giving her daughter such an amazing husband.
"Olivia.. So what if you couldn't witness your friend's first dance with her husband! But ypu can at least try to get a hold of the bouquet... right?" Mr. Blackwood said with a wink.
"Oh my, dear Uncle! You're really the best! Kathy, now don't waste anymore time and throw the bouquet so I can catch it." Olivia exclaimed excitedly.
Katherine smiled and walked out of the hall along with Ethan, being followed by others.
She threw the bouquet on count of three and turned around hearing Olivia's crazy squeal, only to notice her holding the flower bouquet in her hand.
A smile appeared on her lips as she heard Olivia chirp, "Yay! Now it's my turn to get married! Gosh! I can't wait to meet my prince charming anymore.."
After that, Katherine bade all of them a teary goodbye and left with Ethan to drop his parents off at the airport as they don't live in this city..
------
After almost two hours, Ethan and Katherine's car stopped in front of a two storey house with a small garden in front of it.
Ethan was the first one to get out of the car as he then helped Katherine with her gown.
Katherine on the other side, inspected the whole house with a huge smile on her face.
Although the house was not a big one but it was really beautiful. The colourful flower plants in the garden had already taken her heart away and she could already imagine herself taking care of those plants like her own babies..
"Ethan… Have you bought this house by yourself?" She couldn't help but ask in curiosity as Ethan unlocked the door before opening it wide for them to enter.
