Our New Home...

"Ethan… Have you bought this house yourself?" She couldn't help but ask in curiosity as Ethan unlocked the door before opening it wide for them to enter.

Her sudden question made Ethan stop in his track as he snapped his head towards her to have a clear look on her face, as if to understand exactly what was going on in that little mind of hers.

Instead of finding something sinister like greediness, he noticed a hint of confusion and hesitation in her eyes.

Just to probe further, he decided to tell her the truth by looking directly into her eyes, "Yes.. I indeed have bought this house by my own money..

I won't allow my dad to gift me something extravagant like a complete house when I already have a decent job. He had already done a lot for me from my childhood. What kind of son I will be if I still take his money in order to gain something!"

A bid smile started to prevail on her lips as she felt so much proud of her husband..

She knew that her husband's family too belonged from a middle class family like her own. So she could decipher the struggle of him very well.

But what made her chest swell in absolute pride was, his love and care for his parents!

Not only had he started his career from a scratch and fulfilled all of his dreams by working very hard, but also he prioritised and respected his parents which rarely children do nowadays..

"You are right, Ethan.. Your parents have truly done all the possible things to bring you where you are right now. Now that they are getting old, it's your time to fulfil their every wishes.." Katherine said, her eyes glistening with happiness and admiration for her husband.

Ethan couldn't help but fell in amusement, hearing his wife asking him to always take care of his parents like a good son..

Usually wives stop their husbands from providing stuffs for their parents… don't they?

However, Katherine seemed to be really an exception..

Any man would feel lucky to have a wife like Katherine who would love his parents like her own..

Ethan indeed was one hell lucky man!

No doubt!

The corner of Ethan's lips lifted up, thinking about Katherine's this speciality which was beyond recognition. So he thought to perform something worthy for her to make this particular day more memorable for both of them..

Katherine who was busy in checking the interior of the foyer, didn't notice Ivan scooting closer to her.

She was about to open her mouth to compliment the the painting hanging on the wall when she felt herself floating in the air all of a sudden..

A yelp came out of her mouth in uncertainty but she visibly relaxed when she noticed Ivan lifting her up by holding her from waist and behind her knees..

"Ethan, what are you doing?" Katherine asked briefly, finally calming down her palpitating heart.

Ethan grinned at her surprised reaction and teased while arching one of his eyebrows at her, "Don't you know that a man should always carry his newlywed wife from the threshold to their room? I'm doing just the same."

A smile formed on Katherine's lips and she immediately wrapped her arms around Ethan's neck, burying her face deep into his chest out of shyness..

Chuckling at her cute antics, Ethan carried her into their living room and stilled on his step for a while.

"You know, you can take a look of our new home while I carry you in my arms." Ethan muttered playfully, looking at her concealed face.

Katherine beamed and took a view of the beautiful interior of the living room with minimal furnitures which gave it a more classy vibe..

"This is our kitchen.." Ethan said, taking her inside the well furnished kitchen with every necessary kitchen appliances and stuffs.

"I really like it." Katherine murmured, looking into the kitchen and dining area very fondly.

Like this, Ethan showed her every single place of their house with her still in arms when Katherine finally showed her concern, "Ethan.. I think you should put me down now. Otherwise, you'll feel pain in your back and arms later."

Ethan averted her eyes towards her worry filled face and said shaking his head, "You weigh just like a feather, Katherine. Therefore, I'm not letting you go until we reach our bedroom."

Katherine tried to protest but one firm look of Ethan stop her from blabbering anything much.

Few minutes later, Ethan finally entered into a comparatively bigger room which had a queen size bed in the middle of it. A small walk-in closet was located on the right side, just beside the washroom..

There were also few other must needed furnitures like a dressing table, a small couch and etcetera..

But what seemed to attract her the most, was the balcony on the left side of hers.

She asked Ethan to put her down which he obliged this time without any argument and walked towards the open balcony which was enough to blew her mind off from her head..

"Do you like it?" Katherine heard Ethan asking from behind and soon fell his presence beside her.

"No…"
