Heavenly Scenery...

"Do you like it?" Katherine heard Ethan asking from behind and soon fell his presence beside her.

"No… I don't like it. In fact, I've fallen in love with it." She said excitedly as she took in the view of every single corner of the balcony.

It was covered with complete greenery everywhere..

Few flower plants along with some bushy kind of plants were neatly arranged there in a row from smaller to bigger..

There was a swing in the middle of the balcony where two people could easily fit. Few cushions were placed on it, giving it a more comfy feeling..

A small coffee table had been kept beside the swing with a medium sized stool just opposite to it..

The balcony was warm and very much cozy much to Katherine's liking..

"Do you also love to spend time in the balcony while doing nothing but just looking at the nature while sitting on the swing?" Katherine's interest piqued, seeing the beautiful set up of the balcony.

Ethan leaned his back on the railings and stared at her excitement filled eyes before replying, "Yes.. I do like to gaze at the stars at night while enjoying the caress of the cool breeze. But I never had any fascination towards swing."

Katherine frowned at his reply and raised another question towards him, "Then why did you place the swing here?"

Ethan glanced at her for a second and a chuckle escaped out of his mouth as he teased, "You sure have lots of questions in your mind… right?"

Katherine bit her lips nervously and mumbled in a low voice, "Uhmm.. Actually, I don't know from where all these questions keep arising in my mind..

But.. it just comes out of nowhere. Maybe I'm just curious about every single thing." Shrugging her shoulder, she again continued, "Truthfully this marriage, new house, new family and husband… everything is just too much for me to process in a single take..

So I'm just getting excited over every small things. But it doesn't mean that you have to give answers to my every questions. It'll take time for me but slowly and gradually I'll be able to adapt everything on my own."

As Katherine finished speaking, Ethan stood straight on his feet and pulled her closer to him by her shoulder.

"You know what Katherine, you're my wife now and I'm your husband. You have all the rights to ask me anything no matter how much irrelevant it sounds..

Truth to be told, I liked how you become curious about every small things. It just makes me happy, thinking that you're already putting your efforts into our relationship. And I've bought that swing just for you." Ethan confessed with his eyes shining brightly.

Meanwhile, Katherine went completely blank when she heard him buying the swing just for her convenience..

"You… you remember the words we had shared on our first date?" Katherine asked with her eyes enlarged, looking at him in pure shock.

"How can I forget my wife's words? It would make me look mean then." Ethan playfully rambled.

"But I was still not your wife then.." Katherine pointed out.

"But you were ought to be.." Ethan too counter attacked with a genuine smile and sincerity in his eyes.

Katherine's eyes teared up in happiness while a huge smile broke out on her face.

And at the next moment, she had launched herself on Ethan. Wrapping her arms around his torso, she hugged him tightly as a lone tear escaped from her right eye..

"Thank you so much for everything. Thanks for prioritising my every wish and fulfilling it in your own way. Thanks a lot." Katherine muttered sincerely.

Ethan stood stunned for a minute but later encircled his arms around her, engulfing her petite frame in a soothing hug..

"You don't have to say thanks everytime I do something for you. It makes happy to bring a smile on your lips." Ethan said.

They stood there for few minutes in complete silence, absorbing each other's warmth while the red hue of the setting sun reflected on their figures, portraying the magnificent view into a heavenly scenery..

"Katherine… I think you should freshen up first. This dress seemed to be quite heavy for you to feel uncomfortable." Ethan said, parting her small figure sway from his big one.

"Hmmm.."

Nodding her head in response, she turned around to leave..

But before stepping out of the balcony, she took a small pause and murmured softly, "My close ones call me Kathy. You're also now one of them."

This simple statement was enough to bring a smile on Ethan's lips as he asked playfully, "So you want me to call you Kathy like them?"

Katherine blushed at his question and replied in a low voice, "Only if you don't have any problem with it."

Ethan chuckled at her cuteness and said while winking at her, "As you wish, Kathy.."

Couldn't able to handle his teasings anymore, Katherine walked out of there hastily and entered the washroom after picking a comfy dress for herself from her bag..

Ethan also picked one of his sweatpants and t-shirt from the walk-in closet and went to use the washroom of one of the guestrooms with a beaming face..

Ethan was still wiping his hair when he heard his cellphone ringing..

Taking the phone in his hand, he looked at the caller ID and instantly, a huge grin broke out on his face ..

Without wasting anymore second, he picked up the call and greeted the person from the other side of the phone, "Hey, darling..! Already missing me?"
