Fall

Emerging into the side room Koa could see a balcony in front of him and the room itself looked as if it was a simple addition to the bedroom. 'getting lucky am I, hopefully this keeps up' Koa made his way to the balcony, the windows being out of reach.

The view was breathtaking to say the least, from his vantage point Koa saw into a green valley full of colorful orchards, bordering those where grey cliffs. Struggling to find a way to describe the view he could only see it as if a massive claw ripped out the space that the valley occupied.

Shifting his view Koa spotted a small villa in a clearing nearby, what caught his attention instead of the rest of the village was a girl fetching water. A typically unremarkable task, it looked as if she was summoning the water into her vase but that would be impossible, trying to recover from the shock of the site he saw others using what looked like magic. That's all it took for him to screw up, before he could regain his sense Koa slipped through the bars and off the edge.

'This is it, fucking idiot! born again and' Koa didn't get to finish the thought before realizing he was no longer tumbling through the air. Koa opened his eyes, curiosity now took the reigns especially since he was levitating. levitating wasn't exactly it he was still falling but something was controlling his descent.

"Your gonna be trouble" chuckled the elderly voice of woman. "So the young heir, is on a stroll? what was the big plan kiddo." 'My plan was to get out you hag, don't scold me for trying to look at my new world!' yet the witch sensed this somehow and locked eyes with him.

"Trouble, Rebellious and clumsy. maybe I'll make you my student instead of the letting that bastard Kelso." snatching him out of the air and into her arms she marched forward to the main door, leaving Koa no choice but to brood and kick.

Sasha greeted them at the door, however missing from her face was her glowing smile.

"Elizabeth, it would seem you have somehow met Koa. I have no idea why but we can discuss this a well as the matter how this education dispute.

After being led inside by Sasha, the trio settled in the den. Sitting on cushy green chair with tea between them it was a relaxing environment and the only one in room dissatisfied with the situation was Koa, who still was both cradled and restrained by the hags arms.

'Oh yes mom leave the baby in the arms of some witch great parenting, I rather be upstairs in my cage!' Koa had given up resisting Elizabeth's superior strength and waited for the moment where his mother would rescue him, but to no avail they were just gossiping mostly and he didn't understand the language entirely yet also, he didn't care.

"What do you make of him?" asked Sasha.

taking a moment to set down her cup of tea and examine the infant with a glance, "He's clumsy and stubborn, clumsy can be cured and stubbornness refined. If you're asking if he has any affinity with the forces then I'm afraid that he is too young" "how is it that you came to possess him at all Elizabeth?" responded Sasha.

"Your pup her was falling to his death, I stopped that. my apprentice has no such allowance to die." listening now that he was the subject at hand Koa quieted down focusing the matter.

"I'll have the aid flogged for incompetence" Sasha said with quite ragged burning in her eyes. "About the mentorship Elizabeth, believe Duncan has asked Kelso to fill the roll I'm sorry." "unfortunately Kelso has been ordered to the border my lady, there is rumors about a troop increase from the Teutons. he asked me to fill in his stead."

This annoyed Sasha, she despised not being informed about new developments especially when they directly involved her children. She didn't have any issues with Elizabeth Kelso was the one who mentored Koa's sister, she figured that since he had closer ties to the family that he should be chosen. Both Kelso and Elizabeth had been Imperial mages at one time or another so she supposed that it would be of little consequence.

"very well, have you mentored a youth before?" asked Sasha. "no" Elizabeth quickly replied "he will be my first.I am aware I'll be living along side him and require a room closest to his so to have the ease of access to him." Sasha and Elizabeth then went to hammering out the details, meanwhile Koa was taking a power nap to escape the boredom of listening to the two.

Elizabeth did have many responsibilities since Koa was too young still, what Koa understood was that her role was to mentor him in his education both magical and otherwise. One day she took him outside to "practice", he was walking unaided already it was a feat that impressed his parents and aid alike. Elizabeth, who Koa took to calling Liz for the ease was not impressed by his progress. She thought he was being lazy if he could already walk then they would start with lessons.

Today was a day of "lessons" as well she had him help in the manors garden, since she started living there it was her hobby. Koa enjoyed the time outside, unlike his mother Liz didn't shadows him everywhere but more of the opposite. When Koa fell she would tell him to get up before she used healing magic to fix his scrapes. Most of their time together she taught him of herbs and tonics.

Before Long Koa had reach five years old, for his birtthday Duncan took leave to be there as well as his sister Bria. This was his first time meeting her since she was attending the regional academy. As a gift he was given a training sword by his father and an enchanted amulet by his sister.
