A New Body

Once more the mana spilled, filling every nook and cranny of my body. My muscles grew and my skin blackened as plates sprouted. It folded atop itself covering me like mail. It outlined my body as if it rested atop it, my stomach outlined, though there was no six pack, space had taken a toll on me. It covered me completely and as I moved it slid below itself to allow movement.

It felt like me but inside was empty, it was not the usual emotional emptiness, it was physical. I didn't thirst or hunger. I looked at my toes and they became paw like, long sharp purple nails coming out at each plate covered toe. Not even my palms were spared, they too were covered.

The purple crept down my hair and it became rigid, rope like. My face was the only saving grace, it was not plated, but as I ran my claws across it I was not cut. It was rough and grainy, tough. I stood up as I felt myself being pushed from the wall, I could feel a strange sensation in my back, a tingle.
