Calm Down

The ice berg grew by the second consuming everything in its path. It ate chairs, desks, carpet and floor. It was showing no signs of stopping. Luckily everyone that was near her had already darted away.

"It's not fair!" As she screamed the ice grew out in sickles and shards.

Mrs. Eos stood there, not knowing what to do, confused. I sat in my seat still, I was the only one, everybody was already half out if not completely out of the class.

"I didn't ask for this..." Her screaming voice broke into tears.

"Do something before she hurts herself." I said taunting Mrs. Eos.

"Hah hah, very funny, its not that simple, its not normal ice."

"Normal ice or not, if the heats hot enough, it'll melt." I said correcting her blunder.

"I can't make fire hot enough to melt it, can you?" She retorted.

I didn't respond.

"If I use light... the ice won't be the only thing getting cut..." She walked closer to the growing mass and touched it.
