Reality

I planted my feet in the ground, riling up the dirt as I pounced forward, my tail dancing in the wind. I was faster, way faster. It came at me fearlessly, claws up blocking my blade. Though this time I wasn't tossed aside.

We clashed, yet it showed no sign of pain or retreat. It just kept pushing, all its eyes blinked out of sync. It was scanning me, and soon it acted. It kicked me in the stomach and pushed me back as its heavy three toed foot fell.

It was still not enough. I gripped the handle so hard I thought it would snap. Once again I pounced forward, but that time I brought the sword high above my head. As I brought it down, the creature went for my chest. It was a necessary sacrifice, or so I thought, but in truth, it was a mistake.
