The cold breeze caressed her face gently soothing her chaotic mind. The grasslands extended more than a mile. Looking up, the scorching sun was long gone but instead the dark clouds hovered over their heads ready to pour down on to them any minute. She was glad to have company and that feeling eased her troubles for now. Just then, there was a loud shriek echoing from within the thicket.
"It's just owls" a hoarse deep voice spoke from the front. The sudden talking caught Ayesha off guard. She didn't dare to speak up until now mainly because she was intimidated by his presence. "oh" that's all she could manage to whisper. The tiny voice crack annoyed her. Why was she getting so self conscious around him. I mean he literally found her face down in mud and blood.
The horse came to a sudden halt causing Ayesha to fall all over the man. 'fuuucck' she really just wanted to slap herself. The man pretended to not notice but he most certainly did. The embarrassment crawled under skin and ate her from within. She quickly got off the horse more clumsily than she liked to admit. She really just wanted to melt into the ground. She did an average job hiding her inner turmoil and focused on the location they were at. The horse had stopped in a small clearing which had a giant cave to the left. The place was surrounded by thick bushes and tall tress. The cave seemed deep and easy to accommodate. The man also got off the horse and stood right behind Ayi. The darkness of the night was starting the consume the evening.
" We can't travel any further. Its going to rain any minute now" he said pointing his index finger upwards to the sky. He still had not taken his mask off and that instigated the curiosity in her. However before she could answer, huge droplets of water started pouring down, drenching them immediately. Both of them looked at each other and Ayesha simpered.
" Well come on then!"
The man seemed to smile back at her but she really couldn't tell. They didn't waste any time and together they jogged towards the cave.
