Chapter Four: Arrival at Camp

While in the car I look out the window brainstorming.

'This just threw canon out the window, but is that a bad thing? I get more training, I make more friends and learn lot more, I even get more experience with mythology. How cool is that? The only bad thing is leaving my Mom, and while I got used to being her son, and see her as such I only knew her really for 4 years.' I thought, thinking about my relationship with my mom, and if I should stay in touch.

'Yeah, I don't see a reason not to, I can always Iris message or visit on few occasions. And honestly I think I should just be myself, it's not like anyone knows who Percy was before I came to be, and that brings me to my second biggest question, does me being Percy change how I feel about things? Is my fatal flaw loyalty like Percy?' I thought, In my past life I thought myself to be a bit of a sloth. Having talent but not using it as I was pretty selfish, only two of my friends made me actually care about what I do, in a sense that I'd do it for them.

'Hah~ Questions for later, I'm still four and regardless of me being a Demi-God I'm not gonna waste my youth on things I can in the future.' I thought, relaxing into my seat as I pull out my plastic water bottle, and started to swish the water around out of habit.

'All I have to do is wait, and I'm golden.' I thought, waiting for my arrival to Camp Half-Blood.

"Alright Percy, theres something I need to tell you." My mom said, putting her hands on my shoulders and getting on her knees to be at eye level with me.

"You are a Demi-God." She said, as I force my eyes to widen in 'shock'.

"Wha- you mean like the stories?" I said, remembering her reading all those stories about Achilles and Heracles, along with my favorite (Totally Biased) Perseus.

"Yeah, now you see that hill up there? Up there is a safe place for Demi-Gods, please remember to be nice an-and be a good boy." She said, chocking back a sob near the end.

"Okay, but your coming right?" I said, feeling bad for asking.

"No, I'm sorry but this is something only for you Percy, I'll try to be there, I promise." She said, before letting go of my shoulders and lightly pushes me forward. Understanding the message I turn quickly and hug for the last time.

"I love you mom." I said, trying to make her feel better.

"I-I love you too, Perseus." She said hugging back, before I let go and start to run up the hill. As I run up I hear the car start and drive away, damn now that I think about it I won't be able to iris message till I'm trustworthy enough to hold a drachma, I'm only four dammit!

"Ha~ Why is age almost always the problem?" I said, before reaching the top of the hill.

'Wait, since Thalia isn't a tree yet does that mean theres no barrier? I'm sure they would have a mist barrier or something to make sure mortals don't get through, but what about monsters? Or our scent? I need to ask if theres anything to keep us safe at camp aside from border patrol.' I decided, hoping I won't have to let Thalia die so we have a strong barrier.

"Hey, whats a kid doing here?" I heard, before I could turn to answer I heard another voice.

"Hey kid, are you lost?" By the time the person asked, I had turned to see a duo of blonde teens, one was a guy and the other girl.

"Hi, my names Perseus, is this Camp Half-Blood?" I asked, making sure to not make my sentences sound like a older person.

"Uh, yeah but how do you know that, and where is your parents?" The boy asked, warily looking around tense.

"My mom just dropped me off, she said it being safe for people like me, a Demi-God." I answered, gaining shocked looks from both.

"Wait, your mom dropped you off?! Your what, 4?! Thats way to young!" The girl said, yelling in disbelief.

"Hey kid, did anything happen recently that was weird or out of place?" The dude said, before I put on a sombre face.

"Yeah, a weird snake with a white crown tried to bite me before my mom stabbed it with a weird knife." I said, gaining widen and scared eyes.

"Oh my Gods, we need to get him to Chiron immediately." The girl said, rushing towards me and picking me up like a baby, before running with what looks like her brother towards a house with two stories and a porch, the house colored red.

As we get to the porch she puts me down and calls out, "Chiron, we have a new camper, he's 4!" I covered my ears, hoping to elevate the pain in them from the screeching.

"What?!" Came out two shocked yells, before I heard running and wheels spinning before I'm greeted by the sight of two people, still unable to see them.

"Where is the camper? And why are they here so young?" Said a man, who I now see is in a wheel chair.

"Yes, this better not be a prank or there will be a sir plus in dolphins this year." Said another, who has a leaper shirt on with a pork belly showing.

"Uh, hello? My names Perseus, but my mom calls me Percy." I said, very unprepared for meeting two immortals, one of which is a God.

"Lady Hera, you really weren't lying." Said the God, looking at me with a strange look in his eyes, as if conflicted.

"Hello Percy, my name is Chiron, sorry for the yelling, we're just a bit ah, shocked to see you. Thanks Laura, John, your dismissed for the rest of the day." Said Chiron, while the newly named duo walk away to do whatever they do.

"So, Chiron what do we do? Demi-Gods never show up this young." The God asked, confused at the situation.

"Well first you should introduce yourself, while I've trained a few people at Percy's age, that was during the ancient times. The Gods must know, it is unnatural and quite worrying." Chiron said, making the God sigh before turning back to me.

"Ha~ My names Dionysus, but you can call me Mr. D, nice to meet you, Percy." Mr. D grounded out near the end, as if forcing himself to not mess up my name.

"Nice to meet you!" I say, smiling with what I hope is a bright one. And from their reactions I can confirm that it was quite bright. Smiling back, Chiron placed his hand on my shoulder and guided me inside while asking me questions about why I was here, in which I told him about the monster which caused them to pause, before I heard Mr. D mutter, "Definitely telling the others."

I'm not to sure on how to feel when it comes to me, a four year old, having the Olympians attention but all I can do is hope it's a positive reaction. Though with Zeus being the paranoid ass he is, he'd want me dead for attracting monsters this young. By the time the questions were done I was shown a average bed room for a teen, a bed with a nightstand next to it with a lamp on it. With a wardrobe on the opposite side.

"This is where you'll sleep until we sort things out, despite it being early in the afternoon I recommend some sleep before a dinner. You probably had a long day." Chiron said, gesturing to the bed.

"If you need help just call for it and it will arrive." He said before ruffling my hair and wheeling out.

'Here's to hoping I don't die on my first day at camp.' I thought, lying down and closing my eyes for hopefully, not my last time.
