The Miscalculation

After getting ready, I made my way towards my father's chambers. Considering the increased number of guests currently residing in the palace, I was well aware that both of us would be divided in our duties and therefore have limited or no time to meet throughout the day, making morning the only available time.

Seeing me first thing in the morning was a pleasant surprise for my father. Ever since I came to this era, I was always busy doing something or the other and would only meet my father during meals or at night time before going to bed. Me being constantly out of the palace did not make it easier for us to spend much time together.

We made small talk for a while and then went our own ways. My father was off to entertain Balaji Vishwanath and the other adults, while I was to meet and greet the younger generation. We each were going to have our breakfast with our respective groups, otherwise we had made it a habit to have our meals together when I was in the castle.
