I wake up feeling so bad. I thought of Micah till I fell asleep last night. Why would she assume I was the one who exposed her. I huff standing up from my bed and head to the bath where I take a lukewarm bath.
"it's very nice for you to join us" if feels like deja Vu. The last time I was at this table three days ago.
"Morning King Darien, Morning Queen Adelina" I greet and take my sit.
"Morning darling" Mother says back but King Darien only nods his head and grunts like some sort of animal. The thought of that make me giggle causing me to earn a glare from the grunting animal itself. I laugh again purposely this time around. King Darien slams the table hard and it shakes. He stands up and proceed to walk out of the dining hall but turns to mother "teach your daughter what is called manners" he tells Mother in annoyance and walks away.
"Minerva.."
"It is Olette" I cut her off. She glare at me and stand up running after her husband like a sheep going after a Shepherd. I sigh and grab a roasted chicken from the table devouring it like the way Lucian eats and I know it is not princess like but who cares. After all, King Darien had said it already, I have no manners.
"can you stop eating that way? the servants are staring" Micah says annoyance dripping from her words. she finally notices me.
" I don't care" I say with chicken stuff in my mouth. I continue eating like that humming loudly.
"Stop this instant!" She commands and the light in the castle dims due to the magic seeping out of her.
"You won't talk to me in that tone princess" I say calmly. I stand up from the chair cleaning my hands with one of the table cloth. I take a long drink of wine and turn to Micah "Be careful the way you speak to me because as long as I can remember I am older and you have no right whatsoever to talk to me in that way" I take in a deep breath and continue "As for this servants, they no better than judging because nobody asked them to leave the human world in search of immortality.Besides Micah if all these is about yesterday, let it be known to you that I wasn't the one who suggested to you to lay with the king's guard on your wedding day." I turn away and go but not without catching Micah throwing a ball of fire at me. it missed me anyway so no offense dear little sister. I thought back to the servants. They were just humans who begged immortality from the Fae Lord and was brought here as servants. what they didn't know was that life in their world was much better than life here.
I feel my ears ringing. it can only mean one thing, Lucian needs my help. I had given him a small crystal to summon me with if he ever needed my help and it hasn't even be two days since I left him. oh no it has been say twelve days. I forgot time works differently there. I run outside the castle and bring out my wings taking off into the sky.
"stupid bush, remind me next time to cut you off" I say in anger to the forest shrubs.
"You are talking to a tree" I hear the voice and I see Lucian at the foot of the tree. I run to him giving him a hug.
"I know you didn't really miss me since it's only been a night and a day over there but it's been twelve days here and I really do miss you" he says hugging me tight.
"I miss you too" we walk side by side but instead of going the direction of his house, we head another way.
"where are we heading to?" I ask him as I take in the scenery before me. it was a narrow flowery path inside a forest.
" everyone has moved to the district created for emergencies such as this" he explains.
" what is happening?" I ask in utter confusion. He stops for a second turning to me "remember I told you about some cloaked men killing people?" he asks and I nod. "well they've taken over the state by attacking anyone in sight. That's why I have called for you to help us." if they were under attack, the faes should be aware. why didn't King Darien say anything. Right he was the evil Fae and doesn't care. I almost forgot that fact about him.
"So where are those warriors?" I ask when he finally catches up to me.
"That's where I am leading you to" he says and we finally reach a wide space and I see the cloaked men. Some were torturing the people of Lucian's town while some just drank away. I turn to Lucian "you can go now Lucian" he shook his head. "I am not leaving you in the hands of these devils"
" Lucian we are not negotiating here. you do as I say besides I can take care of this men and you will only be a distraction for me since I won't be able to protect you and I can't do two things at the same time. so please leave. Go back to Lena and Isabella and tell them everything will be okay" he nods and hugs me tight sprinting away. I come in view of the men and they all focus their attention on me as they went into fighting stance. I laugh and the forest shook. They look at themselves in confusion and I take that moment to attack. I charge at them after summoning my sword. slicing them and using Fae magic on them.
Soon enough they all fall. some dead and some injured. I haven't started basking in victory when I see four big men approach. who are they? They walk up to me and a brawl starts but this time around, I am the one on the floor in injuries. How is this possible? who are they?.Them being able to defeat me means they are definitely not humans. They are probably warlocks. That's right.
They drag me up pulling me into the mansion. I groan and try pulling away but their hold are so strong they can break me in half. Getting inside, they push me to the floor and walk out probably locking the door behind them. I stand up but immediately trip on my gown and fall face flat. I groan in pain. I really need to get back home to heal faster.
"You should be more careful standing up. Warlocks like those men don't take it easy when infecting people with their magic" I hear a deep, calm and collected voice. I look up and that's when I see him; he has long black curls with piercing blue eyes that begins twinkling as he lights a candle. He was in a white loosed shirt that still shows how perfectly structured he is. He smiles at me walking close and pulling me to my feet and I smile widely back at him
"It's Lord Gordon and it's very nice to meet you Olette"
That's when she met him. The one who made her question her existence right then and even two centuries later. And it didn't even take a wishing well for her to fall so hard for him and she was ready to love him even though she will spend two hundred years regretting it.
