Arthur

Arthur's masculine than me but also lean and tall. He's about my age too. He's wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans. He looks like he's about to kill me. But instead of charging, he walks calmly towards us which is more terrifying to watch.

I stood up and Raine followed too. She's hiding behind me and clinging to my left arm tightly. She's shaking with fear. I see that Monique, Ralph, Tina, and Kim were also walking towards us.

"How... How did you find me?" Asked Raine, her voice shook as she spoke.

"Your stupid friend posted your photos on Facebook and that's why I found you!!!" Shouted Arthur. He's 5 feet away from us.

"Arthur!!! Stay away from her!!!" Called out Monique.

Arthur spun around and face Monique, "You silly girl! You've been hiding Raine from me! Didn't you know our wedding's next month? And this girl is still meddling with you stupids!"

"Hey! Stop talking to them like that! Show some respect!" Blood's coursing to my brain and I really want to plant my fist in his face.

"Woah! And who are you, Romeo? Snuggling Raine? Huh! Didn't you know that I'm his fiance?"

Raine's tugging my arm but I ignored her. "Adam, don't."

"Raine's not your property. And you're not invited here either."

"Oh really?" He walked closer and he's just feet away from me. I was fuming with anger with the way he talked to my friends. I have never been this angry before.

"What? Do you want my Raine? You want to run your filthy hands in her body. Huh? What? She's mine. Remember that asshole." He looked at Raine. "Come on Raine, come now." He reached out and pulled her arm.

"I don't want to!!" Shouted Raine. "I don't want you and I don't want to be your bride! Marry my father if you want but you cannot have me!"

But he continued to pull her. "Hey!!" I pushed him away. I didn't expect what happens next. He punched me on my face and I rolled on the sand. All I can hear was the shouting of Raine and the others. Ralph immediately got hold of Arthur who was swearing. Raine's on my side. "Adam, Adam!"

I got up and punch Arthur in the face. He was very strong so he escaped from Ralph's hold and was trying to punch me again. Ralph's pulling him, while the girls pulling me. Still, Arthur reach me and he planted his fist on my face, I can taste blood in my mouth. The hotel staffs were also there to break the fight. And they got hold of us. They escorted Arthur back to the entrance while we returned to our hotel room.

I was still fuming with anger when we reach our room. Monique got ice from the fridge while Tina went to their room and when she got back, she was carrying her first aid kit.

"You really don't need to do that Adam," Raine said while taking off my sandals.

"No! He deserves what he's got. That filthy animal."

"He's not worth it Adam. Try to calm yourself." Said Monique who was trying to put a cold compress on my head. But I shook it off.

"That Arthur! I didn't expect to see him here! I told you, I've seen him when we enter the bar. He was watching us long enough to see Adam hugged Raine." Ralph added while he paces back and forth in front of us.

"I'm sorry. It was our fault." Tina apologized.

"No, no Tina. This is nobody's fault. And he's gonna find out anyway." Said Monique.

I need to calm myself. I looked at Raine's tear-streaked face. She's very worried about me. "I'm okay," I whispered.

"You shouldn't have done that Adam. He might have killed you." Kim said who was sitting across the room.

"Yeah, look at what he's done to you!" Exclaimed Tina, who was dabbing antiseptic in my scratched arm.

"Aside from my cut lower lip and a bruise in my face, I also have bruises in my arms because of your nails and when I rolled down the sand, but I'm fine really," I answered trying to lighten up the mood. "What? Are we gonna let Arthur ruin our last night here? Come on, guys!"

I stood up and started jumping. They were all looking at me like I'm an idiot.

"What?" I pulled Raine up and hugged her. "I'm fine really. Don't worry bout me ok?"

"Awwe........" Exclaimed Tina and Kim. "Can you hug me, Adam?" Tina exclaimed. "Of course!" I said laughing. She came running to hug me. Raine steps aside to give room for her.

"Kim? What? Are you gonna sit there all night?" Kim walks slowly towards me and I also hugged her. "Monique?" Holding up my arms to hug her.

"In your face Adam." They were all laughing at Monique.

"What? Just a hug?"

Then Ralph jumped up and exclaimed "Group Hug!!!!" We hugged each other.

The friendship that we form in 3 days was the best friendship I ever had in my life. No one, including Arthur, can spoil this night. This must be a vacation like no other. The memories we have gained here will be remembered until the day I die. This is the day when I finally found the girl that I want to spend my whole life with.

We just hang out in our room, playing cards, charades, anything. With Raine in my arms, my best friend, my 3 new friends, there's nothing more I can ask for.

I thought everything's fine when we woke up the next day. When I woke up, I was hoping that Raine's still sleeping beside me on the sleeping bag we laid on the floor, but instead a piece of paper is lying there. I immediately read the letter. It was from Raine.

"Adam, I'm sorry I have to leave you now. My mother's here to get me. I really don't want to leave you, but I'm afraid that Arthur might do something bad to my parents if I don't marry him. I'm sorry Adam. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I will always love you. I'm sorry. Raine."

So, Arthur's threatening her parents now. This guy is really psycho. I folded her letter and headed to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror. Raine was gone like this was all just a dream. My tears start to fall. She's gone.

We were all silent when we drove back to our place. They dropped me at my house. After we said goodbye, they drove off.
