He Saved My Life

I was walking in the side road when one car suddenly stopped in front of me. I look at the Car and took a deep sigh before continued walking. Sure, It was Calvin.

And I would just waste my time if I'll give him an attention again. Though I know and I can clearly see a big change the way he approach and treat me the way he do before but I can't still forget that he's one of the reason of my nightmares.

The reason why I have a very low self esteem way back then because he made me believe that I was really a stupid one like he always said and no one would ever learn to love me. He would always slaps me that cruel reality that I was just alone.

The only thing I can called luck was when I met my friends.

And when I graduated in College in Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in France without anyone's help. Not even a help from my Mother and Father.

"Allyssa!"

I still continued walking, ignoring his call.

"Hey!"

No one can stop me ignoring you Calvin. Not even you. Not even your handsome face. Not even your lovely smile. Not even your hypnotizing eyes. Not even your oozing sex appeal. Not even your—

Wait! Did I just praised him?

My, I was really praising him! Gosh I'm going crazy here just because of that man. And I can't even understand myself now. I can't control my mind and how do I react.

Everything has already changed since we've meet again.

I continued walking while secretly muttering curses at the back of my mind. This time, I am half running so he would not catch me but I just put my life in danger. I didn't realize that I had gotten too close to the road And that's when I realized the big dump truck was coming.

My eyes widened when I heard the dump truck's horn simultaneously I stiffened in extreme fear. And my whole body was cooling. Out of fear and shock, I couldn't move my foot to run away.

I can't do anything but to just stare the truck coming and just closed my eyes and waited for my near ending.

I was ready to die when I felt a warm hands suddenly grabbed my hands and pulled me away to my death. Ending, I fell on it's arm. I was now on it's muscular chest!

And I just realized it was a man when I sniffed that familiar scent of the expensive Pegasus Exclusif perfume he was using.

I looked up to him and I wanted to cry when I saw his handsome face that was now looking at me. His eyes was filled with worry and... fear?

And I just realized it now how scared I am. And how much I wanted to hug him tight. And how much I regretted for running away.

If it's not because of him... I was probably lying on the road now while bathing my blood. And... dying.

"Allyssa... Oh, sweetheart, Are you alright?" He asked worriedly.

I slowly shook my head. Tears were now slowly falling in my eyes that automatically made him panic. I buried my face on his chest and cried so bad, hoping to release my fear.

"I... I almost died." I whispered weakly. My eyes were now moist. I felt him brushed his hands on my hair as he caressed my back, probably to calm me.

I found comfort in that but it made me cry more when I realized that he just saved my life. Calvin saved my life even though I tried to ran away from him.

"Hush Sweetheart, You are now safe." He held my hands tightly as he hugged me so I closed my hand to feel his embrace. I can't believe He can actually make me calm.

Calvin...

"Are you okay now?" He asked then he handed me the cup of coffee. I took and drink it while he sat beside me. I put the mug on the center table and took a deep breath.

"I think I'm still not."

"Yeah, I think so too and I understand. You almost lost your life."

I look at him as a slight smile formed in my lips. From now on, I'm not going to be grumpy with him anymore. He was an angel and a knight in shining armor. Can I even afford to despise him?

In the short period of time. He became a one big part of my life. It doesn't even take a week since we've meet again but look at us now.

We are mostly together everyday like we used to be friends before.

When in fact, We never even eat our lunch together in the same table.

"Thanks to you I'm still alive. I owe you my life. How can I repay you?"

"Nahh, You don't really have to." he smiled. "Seeing you alive and still breathing was enough for me."

"Thank you, Calvin."

"Sure thing." He winked before sipping his coffee without breaking our eye contact. I automatically blushed when I just realized that so I look away.

I heard him chuckled that made my cheeks heated. Godness Gracious. He never really failed for bringing me this kind of feeling. And he was the only one who can do this to me.

And I can't deny the fact that I'm always missing and looking for him wherever he's around. I want his presence, his smile, and his laughter. I admit I also despised him sometimes.

But the fact that I'm missing him will still remain.

I stared the Vase beside me. Now, There was an assorted flowers there. Thanks to Calvin. I wonder what just happened almost 3 years ago that many thing has changed. Particularly, Him.

I unconsciously smiled when I smells the fragrance of the flowers. It was really pretty. Now, I regret for not even minding to put real flowers on my Vase before. Instead, I put an artificial one.

"You look so tired" He stand up so I faced him. He smiled as he offer his hands to me. Even though I'm confused, I still give it to him and I just know what's the purpose of that when he help me stand up.

I smiled secretly when I realized that he was just so such a gentleman.

"You have to take a rest. I'll text Erwin later, I'll inform them about what happened to you earlier so they would allow you to have a vacation leave."

"Vacation Leave? Calvin, I'm on a Vacation leave and I was really fine so you don't have to worry."

"No, You'll still have your Vacation leave even if for two to three days only."

"That was too long!" I protested and pouted but he just remain serious like I can't do something since finalization was all written in his handsome face. I sighed. "Fine. Two day only!"

He smiled and nodded."Two days, Alright."
