The start

Third Person Point of View

The guard looks at the girl again but as he looked back, he saw no one.

The guard was puzzled and looked around. There was no one here.

He is all alone in the dark.

He strolled his flashlight but the girl is nowhere to be found.

"Hello?" the guard said. "Where are you?"

The guard shook his head and looked again at the nails but to his surprised the nail is not there anymore.

The guard frowned and wash his eyes. He even slapped his face. He thinks he is having delusions.

"Damn!" he said.

Then he heard a heavy breath at his back in his neck. A deep heavy breath.

As the creature in his back is exhaling he can smell the rotting aroma.

The guard's neck was stiff. The guard can't move. He knows that it was the girl.

The one who is heavily breathing on his back is no one but the girl who ate the long rotting nail!

"This is not funny!" the guard said as his voice became nervous. He slowly reaches his gun at his side.

The rotting smell is punching his nose. He counted one to three to gather all his courage and look back.

"AAHHHH!!" the guard shouted when she saw the girl hanging upside down. She is eating the long black nail. Worms are coming out on the girl's mouth. Her eyes are all widened and looks like it is about to explode.

The guard steps back immediately but he reached the end of the hallway.

From his position, he can no longer see the girl's face since the dark was eating its face but he can see that it is still hanging outside down.

He was catching his breath and look down. He will surely injure himself if he is going to jump or not but he does not need to think anymore. As the guard looked at the girl again it was already in front of him and pushes him.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" the guard shouted trying to reach something to grab on.

*BLAGGG* a loud bang of the heavy body that fell from above was heard at the quiet school at that time.

"Oh my gosh!" this is Shawna. "It was frightening. It scares me!"

Marissa looked at her friend.

"Why, what happened?" the inquisitive woman asked.

"What kind of student are you? Are you from another planet?" Shawna asked. "Didn't you hear? The news is so widespread! The guard jumped from our building. They even saw the guard here earlier at school lying on the floor full of blood!"

"Is he still alive?" Marissa asked.

"Not anymore, he's dead. He's been dead for six hours," Shawna told her friend. "What they said was that the guard jumped yesterday and guess what. He's the guard we fought with yesterday."

"Are you serious?" Marissa asked.

"Yeah! Do I look like I'm joking?" Shawna asked. "Let's check later the place where he jumped at."

Marissa beat Shawna at the back so hard.

"What are you!" Marissa asked. "Aren't you scared? His ghost might hunt you!!"

They looked at Briseis who had just entered the door of their classroom.

They immediately pulled Briseis at the corner to tell her the news.

"Girl have you heard the news?" Shawna asked her.

Briseis looked at her.

"News?" Briseis asked. "What news?"

"Our school guard killed himself! He jumps off the building!"

Briseis smiled broadly, which was the cause of the sudden goosebump in her two friends. They were stopped by how Briseis reacted.

That wide smile was immediately replaced by a laugh.

"You should not do jokes like that, Shawna" Briseis told to her with a serious face now.

"You're creepy!" Shawna said to her. "But what I'm saying is true!"

"Ahhh," Briseis said not startled by the news. "By the way. Let's do the ritual tonight."

Marissa frowned.

"Huh?"Marissa asked with confusion. "I thought that ritual should be done when the moon is full."

"Who the hell told you that?" Briseis asked what Marissa said.

Shawna and Marissa looked at each other.

"Y-you," Marissa said. "You told us that we should do the ritual when the moon is full."

"Don't believe Briseis," Briseis said. "She's just a stupid woman."

The two were even more surprised by what she said.

Courageously, Shawna hit Briseis in the back.

"What are you Briseis. Why are you acting like that" Shawna said and laughed fakely. "Don't be like that! You're weird!"

Briseis looked at him so Shawna stopped.

Just a few seconds later Briseis laughed again.

"You can't take a joke," Briseis said. "But I'm serious about what I said earlier. We'll do the ritual later."

Bret and Seven arrived at the classroom.

They go straight to where the girls are.

"Are you okay Briseis?" Bretasked her.

Briseis nodded.

"I'm fine," Briseis said. "I just don't know the one you're asking."

"What?" Seven asked him. "Your answer is a mess! Did you hit your head Briseis?"

Briseis did not answer.

"By the way, Briseis said we will do the ritual later," Shawna said.

The two men frowned at what the friend had said.

"Immediately?" Seven asked. "Are you sure about that?"

"Briseis looks sure," Shawna said and looked at Briseis.

"Maybe we'll postpone the ritual first. It's scary now that someone died suddenly at our school."

"No," Briseis said emphatically. "We will not do it next time. We will do it this day. That death is a signal that we must begin."

"But you look sick," Marissa said to her.

Briseis quickly looked at her.

"Don't you want to get out of poverty?" Briseis asked. "Do you want to be beaten all the time ?!"

"Of course I want to get rich," Marissa replied.

"That's it!" Briseis said to her. "Don't try to postpone!"

Marissa didn't answer. There is something wrong with her friend

"I'll just see you at your old place meeting tonight," Briseis said and stood up.

"Where are you going?" Bret asked her.

"Going home," said Briseis. "The class is suspended."

Briseis went straight out as their teacher was entering.

It announced that due to the incident their class was all canceled.
