Another Perspective

A little before the end of the previous chapter:

POV Ozpin:

I had some doubts about whether or not the team of recent graduates was going to be capable enough to take down the girl. I had no backing to that feeling. It was just a hunch, but I decided to trust it, and I'm glad I did.

I gathered a group of experienced huntsmen and huntresses, as I didn't want to risk the girl escaping as she did with Ms. Goodwitch, and we headed toward a small cabin in a forest east of the city. This was the location that the girl had been tracked to, and also where the group of recent graduates plans to apprehend her.

It didn't take much time to arrive, but it seems even that was too long, as when we got there the girl had incapacitated the last of the graduates, a woman who wields a war ax. Now that the girl is not wearing her combat gear I take notice of fox ears and a tail. Both indicative of her being a Faunus, but why does she have both, I wonder?

"Whew," the girl breathed out as a relaxed smile made its way to her face, but as she is no longer distracted from her fight she quickly notices us.

She quickly turns to face us, but before the girl can do anything Ms. Goodwich holds her in place with her semblance. I can't help but let a slight grin slip onto my face as I admire the girl's handy work.

"Impressive, four on one, and you defeated them with nary a scratch. I have to say, well done, young lady," I compliment, only to receive a glare in return.

"What do you want?!" she yells.

"Well you of course, what else?" I answer honestly, although immediately after I regret doing so, as that seemed to have confirmed something in her thoughts, I could feel the increase of static in the air as he prepared to attack.

"Don't try it," I say, trying to dissuade the girl to avoid unnecessary violence, but to no avail, as the girl immediately fires a lightning bolt at Ms. Goodwitch. Ms. Goodwich of course blocks this attack but at the cost of releasing her hold on the girl.

The rest of the group, experienced as they were, moved into action. The girl attempted to keep them at bay with a variety of attacks consisting of wind, ice, fire, and lightning, but the group breaks through. The Huntsmen and huntresses tie her down in melee and with skillful teamwork, force the girl to remain in defense.

The situation seems bad for the girl as she accumulates more damage. but instead of surrendering, she allows a few hits to land to charge a blast of air to push everyone back. She succeeded, but she is still in bad shape. While she must have quite a substantial amount of aura for her to take so many hits, there's a limit to everything and it seems she's hit her's. As the dust settles from the blast, I see the girl is visibly exhausted, and Ms. Goodwich notices this too.

before the girl has a chance to recover Ms. Goodwhich sends out a heavy attack and hits the girl directly on her side. This sends the girl tumbling onto the ground. Finishing the fight.

"I told you not to try it," I say out with a sigh and approach the girl with Ms. Good witch.

"Go to hell," I hear from the girl who, to my surprise, stands. Even with her legs about to give out., she stands.

The group grows wary, probably assuming she's going to continue the fight.

They are wrong.

I see tears well up in her eyes as she looks at her sword and then to her cabin.

"Sorry, guys," I hear her whisper, as tears fall from her eyes.

I know that look in her eyes sickeningly well.

She raises her sword with her shaking arms and turns it around in her hands.

I hasten my approach as I realize what she is about to do.

"What are y--," I hear Ms. Goodwich start in confusion before she is interrupted by her shock at the girl's next actions.

She plunges her sword toward herself.

But, I hit her sword to the side. Though it seems that I wasn't quite fast enough as the sword went through her side, leaving a large and potentially fatal wound. She seems to have lost consciousness as well. This isn't looking good.

"You four, go back to the bullhead and tell the pilot to bring it over here," I say to the team of experienced huntsmen and huntresses with a tone of voice that doesn't allow questioning, and they immediately start running. They need to be quick, as even if I do what I can to slow the bleeding that can only buy so much time.

"Wh-Why-Why would she do such a thing?" Glynda questions, obviously shaken by the girl's actions.

"I don't know, Glynda, but there's obviously more to this girl than we initially thought," I somberly state.

-WHOOSH

I hear the Bullhead approach, thankfully. The pilot brings the Bullhead down into a low hover and opens the door, revealing the Huntsman team within.

"Put her on board," I say to Glynda, as the Bullhead's doors slide open.

She complies without a word and gently moves the girl onto the Bullhead, and we board immediately after. The pilot, likely understanding the severity of the situation, swiftly closes the door and takes off toward the city.

After entering city limits, I hear the pilot call out over the radio, "This is the Bullhead Beacon-12 requesting landing, and immediate med-evac, we have a severely injured passenger, over"

"Permission granted, and med-evac will be provided, over," I hear call back over the radio, as we approach the landing zone. I feel the bullhead descend, and then subsequently touchdown on the landing pad. The door opens to reveal an ambulance and paramedics ready with a stretcher. The paramedics, seeing the seriousness of the situation, quickly but carefully put the girl on the stretcher and bring her to the ambulance.

"Ms. Goodwitch, I am going to accompany the girl to the hospital, so I need you to go collect her things from the cabin and bring them to me." I say, "Oh, and do it alone. I don't know what you'll find, but I don't want any potentially sensitive information getting into the wrong hands." I add with a serious tone.

"Yes, Professor," Ms. Goodwitch replies, understanding that there might be things we don't want getting out.

"You four, your job is done, you can expect your payment in the coming few days, good day," I say to the huntsmen to dismiss them. After which I get on the ambulance, and head to the hospital with the mysterious girl.
