Meeting Juniper

POV Sapphire:

"GAHAHAHAHAHA, I Can't believe you guys almost forgot about lunch, GAHAHAHA," belted out an orange-haired, jade-eyed girl.

"Hey, we were busy!" Yang retorted.

The orange-haired girl just dismissed her comment and kept laughing.

"Did you all move okay?" Jaune asked considerately.

"Yeah, we finished a little while ago, and we're all settled down in our new dorm," Ruby replied.

"Speaking of you're new dorm, where is it if you don't mind my asking?" This time a red-haired girl entered the conversation.

"Hmm? Oh, it's room 4-38," Ruby answers.

"Oh? The fourth floor? That's quite far," Jaune replies.

"Yeah, but you guys are welcome to visit any time," Ruby says with sincerity.

The conversation continues for a while longer while I just awkwardly eat my food. I have some mixed fruits and a PB&J, but my awkward feelings are making it kinda hard to enjoy the meal.

Thankfully someone here had the sensibility to try to start introductions.

"You must be Sapphire correct?" questioned a boy with black hair with a magenta streak, and eyes that matched the color of that streak.

He seemed either bored or fed up with something because he sighs a lot. I guess it could be the noise. The cafeteria is rather unpleasantly loud, but I don't mind. When you live with highly sensitive hearing you get used to such things.

Anyway, I break myself out of my thoughts, and reply, "Yes, that is my name. I am team RWBY's new member. What's your name?" I answer and then return the greeting.

He then introduces himself, "I am Lie Ren. The loud one next to me is Nora Valkyrie."

"Hey!" I hear the previously hysterical Nora try to interject, but Lie ignores her and continues his introductions.

"The red-haired one with the ponytail is Pyrrha Nikos and the last one is Jaune Arc, our team leader," He finishes introductions.

"It is good to meet you all, and you again Jaune," I greet with a smile.

"You already met Jaune? When?" I hear Ruby question, and I notice Pyrrha focus her attention on our conversation.

I disregard Pyrrha's actions and answer Ruby's question, "I ran into him in the locker room when I put my weapons away."

"Yeah, she helped me out with my armor, thanks again for that," Jaune said, joining the conversation.

What he said had reminded me of something I wanted to tell him, so I brought it up.

"Oh, speaking of which, Jaune, I recommend you find the time to have your armor refitted," I advise.

"Huh, why?" Jaune asks confusedly.

"I noticed when I was helping you with your armor that many of the parts were not fit to your size, and that is detrimental," I inform.

"She's right, Jaune. A poorly fitted set can be very detrimental as it can severely limit mobility and be extremely uncomfortable," Pyrrha backed up my argument.

"Not to mention, a well-fitted set is much easier to put on, so no more situations like earlier today," I add.

Jaune nodded his head, but asked further, "Okay, I can see why, but how would I get my armor refitted?"

I glance at Pyrrha and answer, "Uhm, most armorers in Vale would do it for a fee, but most of them I wouldn't recommend. I can give you my recommendation, but I think you should rely on your team first."

He then looks to the most obvious choice, Pyrrha.

Pyrrha however just shook her head and said, "I'm afraid I don't know any places in Vale yet."

Jaune then looked to Nora.

"I used to know a place, but I recently found out they had been ripping me off, HAHAHA," Nora stated seeming to find her situation funny.

"Nora, you had been scammed out of over five hundred Lien. That is not funny, and I don't wear armor so I will be of no help," Lie interjected.

With no other options, Jaune then looked to me.

"Alright, it's a little out of the way, but they do good work. I'll send you the address on your scroll," I say as I pull out my scroll, but I realize that I don't know his number or anyone's number at that.

"What's your number?" I ask Jaune.

Jaune answered, "Oh, it's…..

----------------------------------------------------------

Me asking Jaune his number had prompted Ruby to realize that she didn't have mine and ask for it. This had prompted the rest of my team and even Jaune's team to exchange numbers with me.

We finished lunch and said goodbye to team JNPR before heading back to the dorm. The plan is to wait until five to do some sparing and team training. I had asked why we had to wait till then, and, apparently, it's because the arenas are only available after that time. For now, though, we plan to do full introductions as a team.
