1.2: Doubt Point

"Dinner's ready!"

Azaki yawned, he'd gelt strangely sleepy after the talk with system. He found out the system froze the time so they won't be bothered for a while.

"Coming!" he yelled.

Azaki left the bed he's on and walked towards the mirror. The one reflected on it is a handsome face with a well defined jaw and red hair. His eyes is a healthy caramel while dimples show when he smiles. Truly the image of a sunny child. Shen Mayu is blessed with a good appearance and also a good personality. Azaki nodded proudly but felt a little jealous inside. Now he knew why Shen Mayu is called the Male God. This is one alright.

Azaki, still clad in pajamas, went down to the dining room nervously. He's not an actor so he doesn't know how he'll go with this. He's just a little bit smart than the average. Will his parents notice? What are Shen Mayu's habits?

His thoughts are cut off when a body jumped onto him. Unable to react in time, they both went down on the floor.

THUD!

"Ow ow ow...."

"Fuck...."

The body on top of him stood up and Azaki followed. The culprit is a younger version of Shen Mayu, a head shorter than him. His red hair is more lighter than Shen Mayu's, shorter and a bit tousled. The big difference is that while Shen Mayu looked like a soft boy, the other looks rogue and more bad boy-ish.

Azaki recognizes this boy as his younger brother, 3 years younger and a naughty one. Though Shen Mayu views him as a sweet younger brother who is still in his rebellious phase so the older boy doted on him.

"Kia..." said Azaki, exasperated. Kia, the boy, shrugged while grinning mischievously. He seemed proud catching his older brother off guard. "What's wrong, big bro? Cat got your tongue?"

Azaki frowned, how did Shen Mayu respond to his younger brother's antics....?

It takes less than a second to find the memory of Kia hugging Shen Mayu out of the blue. The older boy laughed and instead hugged Kia back. Proceeds to ruffle the boy's hair until it became even more of a bird nest than today and ask him about his day.

Yeah....it's not going smoothly at all, thought Azaki miserably.

"Bro? what's gotten into you?"

Kia's voice broke through Azaki's miserable state. But before he could reply, something chimed in his mind.

Azaki froze. DP? Does it mean Doubt Point? So soon? Not even 5 minutes in and he received a Doubt Point already? And what the hell is with the 'Congratulations'?! There's nothing to congratulate!

Remembering the boy before him Azaki coughed. He gave the boy the brightest laugh he could manage and reached out to ruffle Kia's hair.

"Hahahaha! You sure did caught me off guard!"

Kia whined under the assault of Azaki's hand ruffling his fluffy red hair. "Aaargh! Big bro did something happen??"

Even though Azaki stopped ruffling his hair his hands stayed on both sides of Kia's head. "No, i should be the one asking you today. What happened?" Azaki then leaned forward, giving Kia his best puppy eyes, "Did one of those thugs bothered you? You know big bro's here to beat them up."

Kia raised an eyebrow and sighed. He slapped Azaki's hands away gently with an exasperated expression as if he'd heard this thousands of times. He stared at the older boy before him dubiously.

He appreciated Shen Mayu's offer many times, he just doubts whether the older boy can fulfill it. Or Kia is just doubtful Shen Mayu wouldn't be going home half-dead. After all, who would've thought this soft looking boy before him could come out alive from whatever alley the thugs cornered him into?

As if knowing Kia's thoughts, Shen Mayu chuckled. "You won't know if you try, yeah?"

Kia scoffed. "Yeah yeah. Let's eat dinner i'm starving."

Azaki followed Kia into the dining room where both of their parents are in. The siblings' Father is already seated with his eyes glued on the TV. Meanwhile their Mother is moving around in the kitchen.

They both set out to place plates and spoons on the table just like usual. After they finished they sat in front of their Father.

"I heard a bit of ruckus earlier, you two didn't fight right?" he said after noticing the two seating in front of him.

Kia and Azaki glanced at eachother, "It's just the usual, Father." Azaki said.

Mr. Shen only nodded and went back to his TV as fast as lightning. Azaki mentally sighed. He can't help feeling a little happy over things going smooth. At least he managed to extract the one DP that he got.

Dinner went smoothly. That is until his Mother asked something that almost threw him off the rail.

"How did your business go with Jielan Entertainment? They wanted you to model right? They sent me a message saying you'll go and sign the contract tomorrow after school?"

Azaki almost dropped his chopsticks. So early? He frowned.

Seeing his expression, Ms. Shen tilted her head. "What's wrong hunny? Aren't you excited being a model?"

"A-ah that..." Azaki placed his chopsticks on top of his empty bowl neatly. "I don't think i'm going to sign tomorrow's contract after all." He said.

"But.."

Ms. Shen closed her mouth after seeing her son's determined gaze. Azaki nodded at her. "Of course it's a grand opportunity, Mo-Mother. But I've seen the contract beforehand..."

Ms. Shen tilted her head again, "Mother?"

Shit. Azaki sighed miserable in his mind. He imagined punching the system while gulping.

"Sorry, i don't want...Mom to be mad at me.."

Azaki prayed hard that this is the correct way to address her. He had not time checking his memories whether he called the woman Mom or Mother or any other variation of the word Mother.

Ms. Shen's expression softened. "Mom will support any choices you make, Mayu. Dad may also not look like it but he cares about you. And obviously Kia will beat up anyone who looks at his brother the wrong way right?"

Said Kia and Father both blushed.

"It's okay," she reached out to cup his hand with hers, "You don't have to accept it if you don't want to. You're correct for looking into the contract, because something can be irreversible because of fhe contract. We don't know what could happen if you sign it carelessly,"

She then continued, "You are talented and smart. You also have good looks. I'm sure you can get hired easily anywhere. Don't worry and do what you want."

Her kind smile reached Azaki's heart. Not long his expression softens and he smiled. "Thank you Mom."

After that Azaki excused himself from the table. He walked to his room, deep in thought. As soon as he arrived he closed the door, careful to leave it unlocked because Shen Mayu never locked his door for some reason.

He threw himself on the bed and finally releasing a long miserable sighed. He burrowed into the table. "So that's how DP are made, still why is it DP?" he pouted.

Azaki had to reorganize his memories and Shen Mayu's. He needed to learn his habits, his likes and the people around him. So that Azaki can plan his next move carefully not like tonight where he's caught off guard twice.

And about tomorrow's matter concerning Jielan Entertainment...

"Ugh, here goes nothing."

He took out his phone, opened Gool (Azaki thought it's similar to his world's G**gle. Does the name can be copyrighted here?) and typed 'Jielan Entertainment' on the search bar.

A bunch of articles showed up. But what caught his eyes are the similar articles covering the same thing, 'Jielan Entertainment Moved to An Xifu's Hands for The Time Being!' 'An Xifu as the New CEO of Jielan Entertainment, What Could Go Wrong?'.

The most highlighted one is definitely the name An Xifu and Jielan Entertainment in the same sentence.

Azaki raised an eyebrow. So there's someone before this that took charge of Jielan Entertainment?

After two hours of research Azaki concluded that the Jielan who took care of Shen Mayu is in the hands of An Xifu. Before that, Jielan were a respected name in the Entertainment Industry. But after the former CEO, Jie Lan died, An Xifu took over the company as Jie Lan's closest nephew.

Azaki clicked his tongue, recognizing this as a deliberate plot of An Xifu to take over ghe once prosperous Jielan Entertainment. But after An Xifu's takeover, the company hadn't been doing well. So they're out and about to search for a new artist to sign under them.

Their first victim is the innocent Shen Mayu.

"Bastards..." Azaki murmured while hugging his knees. Because of their greed, this innocent child had to shoulder all the blame and sufferings.

"...An Xifu..."

Azaki can't wait for the day to punch that old man to kingdom come.
