Kyte was successful in assembling all his specially trained guards and was able to acheive major success on the first day of the war itself.

But he was unware of Noah's situation. Since it was also impossible to use magic and magic devices on the border he was not able to recieve any news I particular about Noah's fall.

It was much later when he actually got to know about Noah. But Noah fell down on the battlefield. Falling down itself symbolised that he had lost the war not entirely but still he lost it for himself. It was the first time that he had ever fallen down on the battlefield.

Even after premonition that he got he still wasn't able to save himself. The wound was deep. The attack was brutal and the person who attacked him, he knew that person very well.
