Janice was not only left with nothing to cling to all of ger actions that sge was very much proud of till yesterday and appreciated herself turned to be total waste.

She was going to die. How? When? Why? Those weren't even the questions she thought she should be thinking about since Noah didn't return to her chamber at night.

"He must definitely hate me for him to stay away for even the first night of marriage." She thought last night as she changed from her reception gown to her sequin night dress with the help of the maids.

The maids indeed had done a very great job into preparing the room for her first night with the duke. She guessed confidently that not everyone supports Nilla in this mansion, but until the next morning came everything that she had been doing for all the past days just came back to her mocking her in face.
