6 Kids and convoys

Melinda leads us to where she hid the kids.

Both wrapped in silk sleeping bags.

Our Guards immediately do medical assessments and start treatment.

Melinda: show me Melissa.

Melissa bows her head and immediately turned into a 10ft diameter armored tarantula type spider.

Melinda: Expected can't be helped.

You're biologically too young to make babies but you will have to cut down on the practicing especially in this setting.

Princess I would have thought you would reign them in better.

Shawna: My apologies I thought you and Alejandro knew, Their dual declaration was before the Fairy King Himself and by Fairy law they ARE considered Immediately Married.

Now that my father and my older brothers are dead I am now officially the Fairy Queen and Melissa is an actual Princess of the Court with full rights etc. etc.

Since my Godson is now the Crown Prince and next in line Melissais an honored Princess of all Fae.

Last notice Alejandro is well Melinda.

Though Melissa is now the eldest child remaining of the Thorn household, sorry Melinda.

If I makes any difference I have no living blood relatives left and these 4 children will be protected if it means my death.

I make a hardened cave underthe southbound interstate, the little ones should be healed and healthy by morning.

In the morning the smells of breakfast outside the cave wakes the kids.

We have a perimeter set up to alert us to nearly anything and certainly to anything we've so far encountered so far.

Melissa energizes herself by both wind and earth energy, making her nearly as strong as me.

she's enjoying the north wind and the feel of the earth with her half form the tips of her feet are embedded into the soil.

My goddess you look wonderful this morning.

Giggling Melissa give me a big kiss.

Melissa: Mom's a little bit upset with us but not enough to hurt you.

With The Queens declaration mom will accept it. But you had better plan for a huge Ceremony at the first opportunity.

Shawna: Breakfast is ready if you're done making out in broad daylight.

Even if you're not done it's still ready.

As we start eating Aimee and Geoff come out to join us and Melissa and I are nearly tackled with hugs and kisses.

Aimee is now 9 Geoff is 11.

The kids start immediately telling us their adventures.

Like listening to a recording at 10x speed. Melissa takes it in stride and I'm only catching every 3rd or 4th word.

The amazing thing is that their eating at the same time.

After we cleaned up and sanitized the area of our presence we depart. We do find the remains of grocery stores, truck stops, a few restaurants with freezers of food all closed but with some stock left.

Demons did try to set up ambushes.

major fail, I feel them long before they can feel us, usually.

Aimee got injured by the Hellhounds Geoff by centipedes.

Melinda was starting to get nervous with 2 injured children and no more medication.

The kids are naturally resistant to most toxins so not much of an issue there.

Now Aimee and Geoff can stay protected while us older Arcana show them killing Demons.

We eventually come across mixed Arcana and human patrols who are definitely glad to see us and regail us with the reactions of the stories about our adventures from the Mountains and our southerly progress

Apparently our videos are a huge hit and moral booster.

It has actually been uploaded to the human internet and is waited for every night like a reality show.

While we were at the outpost they got a report about troop movements so we take one location when offered while the actual military take the other.

Unlike with a previous encounter this mixed unit is great.

These guys have been in the thick of it and are making it work. So we decided to make them look good.

Yeah we set up a filmed version of the meeting with any sensitive information kept out.

Lets set out to hijack a convoy.

As we get closer the Arachne went full form and camouflaged.

The kids feet feel like stampede of wild horses, Melissa a gentle tapping, Melinda nothing, I can't even find her with my wind senses.

Luckily the wind is on our side and we just have to dampen our auras to Ghost parallel to the convoy.

It's moving equipment and supplies. after a set of sticky ditches to stumble into. We also set web lined ditches for them to fall into when escaping from the first,

Razor webbing should cause a lot of confusion.

and then Assault, engage or whatever.

The kids are told to stay out of it and get 10 guards to keep it that way.

Before the Convoy hits the trap we assassinated the trailing security while 25 Fairies hit the lead security as they turn to support the Convoy.

10 fairies to guard the kids.

13 fairies with us.

Except for the kids everyone meets in the middle.

That's our distribution.

Full cammo and hit.

As confusion reigns among them we chew them up.

Melinda runs through them like a runaway Freight train, and we follow behind cleaning up the confusion.

Fairies Shooting, Melissa Slicing and me Burying.

As we reached the middle of the convoy Melinda had tossed every wagon like a bad loser at Monopoly.

We actually found edible food stuffs.

We let and encouraged the kids to search for any genetic materials for young growing Arachnids.

They actually do run any material through mom before snacking.

Both kids mutually pick highly poisonous Demons parts.

Aimee also picks jumping food, Geoff goes for speed attributes.

We drain as much magic as we can to recharge our own items, or even recharge ourselves to top up.

We destroy and bury everything we don't need or can't use.

The videos are going to be awesome tonight.

We backtracked the convoy and ran onto a Troop Convoy.

Oh wonderful 100+ troops and we have to hide the kids.

These are some big Powerful Demons.

Probably a set up for an offensive we're guessing.

Both Melinda and Shawna says hide the kids and take em.

Melissa is a Battle Maniac in her own right.

Melissa Dances and sometimes hums songs while killing Demons.

We decided to run on this convoy as we did the last.

I'm thinking Full Power blitz.

We hit hard and fast.

A wave of earth follows Melinda as she breaks through.

My wave adds to the confusion of the enemy. I'm actually trying to flip everything into our path.

We parallel my waves coming from both ends meeting at the command coaches.

Our fairies created a wave of energies obliterating most of everything in front of them.

The commanders coaches are stronger and actually made it through with only minor damage.

several Demons composed of Litchs and some winged humanoid goat things.

Minor Demon commanders they may be but stronger than anything we've faced before.

Now we have 10 litch and 20 goats. the power rolling off of them is huge but barely an ember compared to mom.

Melissa and I concentrated on the Litchs first.

Melinda and everyone else take the goats.

The lich we face are skeletal in nature and have very high defense magic which makes it difficult to do damage.

I created an avatar as big as they are and make a large Mattox to smash with.

I sweep horizontal through them knocking them into each other we and sinking them in the earth while Melissa slashed through the felled ones.

Melissa coats her scythe like fore arms in wind magic to wear down the defensive enchantments they carry.

Shawna also keeps hitting them continuously to weaken their enchantments and defenses.

It did get a bit tiring but our hard work keeping them disorganized paid off.

We did lose 3 more guards bringing us to 45 Fairies not counting Shawna.

Since the fairies are Elites and can also fly they took on the winged Demons.

we actually took less casualties than expected.

Melinda is an absolute terror.

These minor Demons weren't enough to make her break a sweat.

The kids had a field day collecting enchanted items and some snacks.

After some recon we spent a few hours draining any and all magic we could find.

After tending to our wounded and recharging our own magic and magical gear we set off again.

Since normally the kids aren't allowed in big fights or fighting against big monsters we teach them battle tactics and traps.

They love helping set up traps so we let them help to keep them occupied and included.

We definitely don't need sulking children alerting the enemy incidentally.

I don't believe in accidents.

everything is either incidental or intentional.

Since no one even the children would ever intentionally make ourselves known to enemy troops.

We decided to include the children so incidental situations don't happen.

we're Probably at this point around a week from Bay city.

we'll be coming from the north east and have to travel across the northern hills and around the west side so we don't get caught between the city Rift and the bay.

the military Command is south west of the city Rift so we'll actually be on the completely opposite side of the city when we get there.

Well it looks like we'll be hitting convoys out of Bay City as we get closer.

Oh look another troop convoy.

It's a Big weapons and armament train.

This is going to be our biggest hit yet.

I don't know how much of a dent we're putting in E.T.s troops but I'm hoping we're making a difference.
