Chapter 18 Devfrorth

They learned that they are in a small village under the Salona Kingdom. And this world is called Devfrorth. The technology here is also outdated unlike on Earth. They also learned what this world is like in the Medieval Period. The currency in this world is divided into Bronze, Silver, Iron, Gold, Platinum, and White Platinum coins. One silver coin is 100 bronze coins. One Iron coin is equivalent to 100 silver coins and so on. 15 bronze coins is the cost of living for a single person for one day. 5 bronze coins are for the payment in staying in an inn for a day and 10 bronze coins for the food. Only Royal families hold a White Platinum Coin. There are also Adventurers here who kill subjugated monsters. The rank of adventurers is from the lowest F-Rank, E-Rank, D-Rank, C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, and the highest which is S-Rank. Unlike on Earth, the monsters in this world lurk everywhere. Most of them are outside the Kingdom. Before entering the Salona Kingdom, you need an identification card. Thankfully, there is an Adventurers Guild in this small village. They go to the Adventurers Guild to ask how much can they earn when they sell the monster body.

B-Rank is the highest level Adventurer in the area which is the Guild Master. They said that he is a swordsman with a big bulk of muscles. Then they head to the receptionist.

"Good day Sir. How may I help you?" the receptionist asked.

"We are from a different country. We're here to sell monster body parts and to apply as an adventurer. We are lucky to find wounded wolves and we decided to sell it here." Zero said.

"Okay, Sir. Please wait I will call someone." The receptionist goes upstairs.

When the girl receptionist goes downstairs, she is with a man in his 30s. The man will be the one who will check the body of the monster.

But before they go down, Zero already got the two bodies of werewolves in his hand. He did this so no one except Aviz, Reno, and Diablo can see him using [Pocket Dimension].

When the man sees the body of werewolves, he is shocked.

"I'm Rico the one who checks the body of dead monsters. The state of the werewolves' bodies is good. These two bodies can be sold for 10 silver coins." Rico said.

Zero did not decline the offer and nodded his head. After that, he received the payment for the werewolves. Then Zero asked the receptionist.

"How much will it cost if the four of us apply as Adventurer?"

"Each person is 10 bronze coins. If you four applied, you will pay a total of 40 bronze coins." The receptionist said.

"Then apply us please," Zero said.

The receptionist gets four papers from the cabinet. She said "Please fill out this with your information. After that, you need to wait for another hour to process your Adventurers Card" The receptionist said.

When Zero saw the paper, it contains a different language. But that's not a problem because they all have the [Language Skill] to understand the text. And when they are writing, it will be automatically translated to their desired language. After two minutes, they are all finished filling out the paper given by the receptionist without any problems.

Zero said to the receptionist "We will get our cards tomorrow. But we are not sure if we can get our IDs tomorrow because we are in a bit complicated situation right now so I hope you understand."

Then Zero, Aviz, Diablo, and Reno headed to a secluded place. Zero noticed that they are all silent. He asked, "Why all of you are so quiet?".

Reno answered, "M-master, I just still can't believe that you can easily bring us to a completely different world."

Zero looked at Aviz.

Aviz said, "I have the same reason as Reno."

Zero looked at Diablo.

"No, Master. I already know that going into a different world is an easy feat for you. I'm just quiet because I am observing my surrounding especially when I'm in a new world."

Zero said "We will come back to Earth for now. I think the time we spend here is just the same on Earth."

Zero opened a portal that will bring them back to Earth. Then they all entered.

After 5 seconds, they are now at Zero's courtyard. The portal brings them inside Zero's house. It's already 6:00 PM, Reno started preparing for dinner. Zero, Aviz, and Diablo headed to their rooms.

Diablo lied down to his bed. He is grinning for an unknown reason. He muttered 'How lucky of me to serve the strongest existence that even me a Primordial Demon can't hold a candle to him. Even all the Primordial Demons team up, we will not stand a chance against Master." Then he slept.

Reno is in the kitchen and she is already finished cooking. She then called Zero, Aviz, and Diablo to eat. After eating, Reno washed the dishes and they all slept.

It's morning, Zero is on his way to his work. He ate in the canteen first to fill himself and entered the Hunters Management building. The office is noisy because most of them are talking about the examination that they participated in yesterday. It is still not their work time so their boss let them be. While they are talking one of his co-workers asked "Zero? Why did I not see you yesterday?"

"Ah, I felt sick and decided to go home early. So I am not able to attend the examination yesterday." Zero said

"Man your luck must be very bad. Don't worry, you can wait for another year to take the examination." His co-worker said before returning to his seat. Then Zero starts his work.

6 months passed in a blink of an eye. It's already winter season. They are unable to go back to the Salona Kingdom in the past six months because Zero is busy with his work. Now, Zero and his co-workers were given a month's break! Many people are enjoying the winter season, but the hunters are exempted because they need to continue their jobs to protect the citizens no matter what the event is. Zero told Diablo, Aviz, and Reno that they will be going to the Salona Kingdom again. Before opening a portal, Zero cast an [Barrier] in the house and [Conceal] to hide the barrier so even high-ranking hunters will not be able to detect that a barrier is cast in his house. This will not allow stranger people to enter his house. Even the SSS-Rank Hunters will not be able to enter. After the preparations are all finished, Zero opened a portal to the Devfrorth world.
