Chapter Fourteen

Bedelia made her way back to her room, it was already dark so most of the children were asleep while some of the adults sneak out for a night party while the few remaining ones have fun times together.

She could hear them laughing and giggling as she walk passed their room, Getty would never allow such behavior if she was aware. Her room was located in the left wing of the building, so it was difficult to hear any noise or see them sneaking out.

Unless it was an emergency then the button on the wall would be pressed to attract the attention of the keepers who were usually nonchalant at that time of the night after a long tedious day at work.

And since she doesn't have friends except for Jace, Bedelia was least worried about getting drunk and sneaky out with friends. She sighed as she shut the door behind her, she had more important things to think about which doesn't involve teenagers drinking themselves into stupors and making out.

But first of all, she needed a bath just to clear her head and sweaty body and maybe it would help her to think less about Evan. Because what the fuck was wrong with her! why does she keep thinking about him and why does her heart seem to meet faster whenever she felt his presence, there must be some kind of explanation for this nonsense.

She slipped into the bathroom she now used with Kira, it had been her private stuff to use but not anymore. There were only a few rooms in this building that has a connecting bathroom in the room and she and Jace was lucky to get one.

And this time, she took her time as she scrubbed herself fiercely, hoping to wash whatever feeling she was having for Evan and whatever going into the hills had been her feel. She still had weird dreams at night but it wasn't as horrible as the previous week, Bedelia dried her body and walked to stand in front of the crowdy mirror.

Her birthmark wasn't itchy anymore but was now a permanently shaped Pentagon drawing, are birthmarks meant to change from their original form? if so she had never heard of it before.

She reached out to touch it and it didn't burn her finger just like it did to Jace, why? And was thus a normal thing? When they finally emerged from the bathroom Kira was already sitting on her bed with a book on her lap.

"I didn't know they had such an amazing place at Town Hills," she said flipping the page, Bedelia glanced over at her to see how she was engrossed in the country's magazine but instead of replying to her, she ignored her and walked pass her to dress for the night.

Kira felt the sudden ripple in her blood as she sights the Pentagon symbol at her back, how in the hell was that possible? She stared speechless as different thoughts run through her mind.

"What are you staring at? Kira was startled to find Bedelia staring down at her.

" The tattoo...how...how did you get that? "Why? Bedelia asked with a suspicious glare. "Why do you seem interested, to tell Getty?

" No, that's not it...just...just the...that...nothing..." Kira stuttered as she watched her in a confused state.

"Yeah, I'm also that same confused" She muttered.
