Bedelia focused her attention on Jace and the ball in his hand as she wipe her sweat with her palm, she tried not to get distracted or intimidated by Evan's presence while she waited patiently for Jace to pass over the ball.
"Here! She heard Jace call over to her and in a swift moment, she found herself making a run toward the net with the ball and Kira and Evan behind her...Just when she thought she had made it, she felt Evan's unexpected presence as he snapped the ball from her and then passed it over to Kira.
" More effort" he whispered then went back to the game, they kept going this way for an hour even when Evan and Kira successfully won the first time. it didn't stop them but instead, it ignited more energy to win, and when it finally seems like she was never going to win Bedelia made one swift move toward the ball and watched it pass through the net.
She made it! she made it!! but instead of screaming out in joy, she just stood there and watched Evan and Jace's happy mood.
"I didn't expect the last one" She looked over her shoulder and noticed Kira watching her impressively.
"Yeah, you didn't" Bedelia snapped and turned away from her.
"Didn't know you got that kind of energy" Kira said smiling and tipped her head to the side to watch her, it was so clear that she was getting on her nerve.
"I'm I expected to bow then? Bedelia finally turned to her with a questionable glance and waited for her to speak.
" No, just that I thought it was impressive" Kira shrugged playfully and waited for her to say something nice but it didn't happen.
"Whatever! Bedelia snapped and headed back to the building in anger, she had wanted to hit more points not just one, the thought of losing to them made her frustrated.
Evan watched as she left the court arena, he shouldn't have pushed her to her limit but he couldn't bear the thought of watching her lose while knowing she has a hidden ability to beat him in a second.
But instead of revealing the truth to her, he used her weakness to get to her since he was much aware that Phoenix hate to be challenged.
He walked further to the court where Bedelia had hit her first point to see the ball laying lazily in the corner, Evan smirked and bent over to pick up the smoking ball which was already ruined by heat...by Bedelia's power!
"What happened? Evan stiffed for a moment recognizing the voice behind him "Something you shouldn't bother with" he replied and stood up to walk away.
"At least then you can tell me what's between you and Elia.
"Don't call her that! Evan halts right behind him while clenching his fist in anger.
"You don't tell me what to call my best friend!
" Very well then, suit yourself" He just didn't want to get blood in his hand since it wasn't part of his mission.
"Tell me then Evan, what's with up between you too" Jace insisted, he had been watching them for the past few days and could tell theirs definitely something strange between them both.
"As I said, it's nothing for you to bother with"
