Chapter 57: Making A Plan

SEAMUS

As the door closed behind Aliah, Seamus' stomach rumbled loudly. As the formal dinner was some time away Seamus decided he needed a snack to keep him going. He hung his coat in the cup board and went into the sitting room, intending to call a servant only to find his needs had been anticipated.

On a table by the fire refreshments had me laid out. He filled a plate and went to sit, only to be startled by a voice behind him. Turning, he found an amused Dominic already sitting in the chair he had chosen.

Covering his embarrassment at having nearly sat in his lap, Seamus spluttered, 'How did you get in here?'

Dominic smiled serenely back. 'Seamus, I would not be a very good spy if I could not go about undetected,' was all he said as he continued to eat food from the plate in his hand.
