Chapter 116: We Need A Plan

ALIAH

Sitting by the fire, Aliah sipped her tea and let her mind wander back over Seamus' conversation with the god the night before. The depth of the questions Seamus asked surprised her, and annoyed her as well. They were a team. They should be working together. So why did he not discuss his ideas with her first?

As her tea cooled, her anger bubbled. Seamus had been taking the lead in almost everything since they passed their trials. It was almost as though fighting the god was his personal crusade, and she had been relegated to supporter and ego booster.

The more she dwelled on it, the angrier she became. How dare he slot her into the traditional role of a woman, being supportive rather than active? Besides, Emer already filled that role, he did not need her hanging round cheering him on as well.
