Chapter 130: Another Puzzle Piece

While Liam and Emer leaned over the kitchen table, pouring over the scroll's contents, Walter finished his meal and Seamus allowed his stomach to settle while sipping another mug of tea.

'Ahh.' Emer pointed something out to Liam.

'So that is why he wanted to know.' His cousin glanced up at Seamus, then back down at the document in front of him. Emer elbowed him in the ribs and pointed at something else. Liam shrugged and carried on reading.

'Did you translate the writing in the drawing?' Emer looked up at Walter and Seamus.

'What?' Walter had been daydreaming.

Seamus leaned forward to get a better look. 'The picture of the casket has writing? I thought it was just an elaborate sketch.'

'I would have been surprised if you recognised the words, but I thought Walter might. It is an extremely old form of our language, but most libraries still contain at least some scrolls written in it.'
