Chapter 156: Counting The Losses

For a moment Seamus thought about disobeying orders and getting up, that was until his sister poked her head around the door.

'Mother said to make sure you are still in bed. Are you still in bed?'

Slipping his feet back under the covers, he lay against the pillows.

'Yes, I am still here.'

'Good, because she said if I found you up and about, I was not allowed to let your visitor in.'

'Visitor? What visitor? Is it Amelia?'

Since awaking the day before in his old bed, in his old room in the palace, Seamus' mother had been a strict nurse. Having rushed back from Port Marden to take care of him, she was allowing no visitors, and no talking about anything that happened until Amelia could check him over and pass him as fit.
