~ 142: An Excuse - Part 5 ~

The next morning, I woke up to a pain rising up my arm. I slowly opened my eyes to the bright sunlight coming in through my room.

The window held many wonders of the buildings rising up and going down as they stood on a hilly ground. The light glimmering off the towering skyscrapers made me realise we had chosen a hospital in or near the heart of the capital of Adrian.

My eyes shifted to look at the sofa but they didn't find the man who had been there to answer nearly all of my questions. Then I felt the sharp pain on my arm as I tried to support myself on it to see if he was in the room.

The yelp left my mouth as I noticed the blood bag hanging on the stand. At that moment, I realised that he had possibly left the room so that he didn't feel thirsty for blood on seeing it.

'I thought he could control it though,' I mused. 'Otherwise, how can he be someone who is able to beat people or punch them until they bleed?'
