Honorable Opponent, and Monster.

As soon as my horse's hooves touched the battlefield, the enemy charge stopped.

"I am a Knight in the service of his Majesty. King of the mountains, I came for your head." Roland said as he looked at me.

"Come, and get it, Knight." I readied myself.

After hearing what I said, Roland charged head on, and when he got close enough, he immediately brought his huge sword, Durandal, down, aiming at my head. In response, I lifted my ice sword in an attempt of blocking his attack. However, my sword broke as soon as Durandal touched it. Since I was sensing danger, I immediately backed away, and dodged his attack. But, the same could not be said about my horse. He was decapitated by that sword. 'What a destructive power. He actually destroyed my sword as if it was made of glass.'

After attacking, Roland looked at me for a few seconds before he got down his horse.

"Why didn't you stay on your horse?" I asked him, feeling a dejavu.

"It is unbecoming of a Knight to kill someone who's on foot while mounted." He told me while he prepared himself.

"Fufufufu. You choose your pride instead of your survival." I shook my head. 'What a ridiculous thought. I can't understand such mindset.'

(It is better if you don't. People like him are rare. He fights to honour a vow.) Nyar said.

'In my eyes there is only a vow that I must accomplish.' I squinted.

(Rule anything under the heavens right?)

I nodded. 'I will take everything I desire. No matter the cost.' At this moment, Roland dashed at me and swung his sword vertically.

I jumped over his attack, dodging it, and, while in the air, I made an ice dagger, and targeted his throat. But before I could slit it, he grabbed my arm, and threw me away. I backflipped in the air before I landed on the ground. "Commendable strength." I told him.

He stood there in his battle stance waiting for me to attack. "Very well. Roland, entertain me more. Hunter's Carnival." Right when I said it, it seems that Roland sensed danger, as he dashed at me.

Before he could reach me the time around me stopped, and Wolfy appeared right in front of me.

{You are summoning me quite often, aren't you?} He squinted.

"What? Don't like it?"

{Nah, I like to destroy your enemies.} He smiled... or at least I think it was a smile.

"Good to know, Wolfy. If you didn't like it, I would never call you again." I smiled.

{Hehehehe. I know you are lying. I am you while you are I.} He lowered his head.

"Yeah, yeah. I know." I petted him.

After he wagged his tail, he lifted his head. {So, which limb?}

"Right arm." I lifted my arm.

{Understood.} He opened his huge jaws and bit my arm off.

After he swallowed, he looked at me. {Yummy... Cerberus.} And disappeared.

'He is becoming more, and more daring. And here I was, thinking of rubbing his belly for being a good boy. Anyways.' I looked at my werewolf like arm.

After that, I stretched my arm to my side. "Destroy the souls of those who challenged you. Hell's Bane." After a bright red light, the ground itself opened, lava was bubbling inside the hole.

From it, a red sword emerged from the lava. The blade was so hot that the nearby grass burned. I opened my hand and grabbed the hilt.

*Shing*.

It seems that the sword itself was excited that her owner was going to use her on a worthy opponent. After picking it up, I coated it's blade with a black like substance. Anyone who watched One Piece would recognise that coating. Haki. Armament haki to be precise. 'Nyar taught me the basics, however, I still haven't mastered it.'

"Come, strongest knight. Show me your resolve." It seems that Wolfy decided to extend the frozen time, because only now that Roland continued with his dash, and brought that giant sword in my direction.

I lifted my sword, and blocked it. However, even after blocking his attack, I still felt the force behind that attack in my hands. I firmed my feet on the ground and began to push him back with my sword. I could see that Roland was confused, after all, in a second I did not had a sword and my arm was normal, and in the other, my arm looked like it was from a werewolf's and I had a black sword in hands.

Using his confusion, I began my offensive. After pushing him, I tried to slash him in half, but he blocked it with his gauntlets, however, they melted right after touching my sword. His bare skin could be seen. My sword is not stopped that easily. I tried to take advantage of the momentum, to stab him in the neck, but he dodged it while slashing upwards on my left side. Since that was my blind spot, I ended up being stabbed, so I backed away.

"How did you know?" I squinted.

"You are blind in one eye aren't you? You kept attacking from the same side, and always tried to make me stay in your right side." He said.

"Is that so? I made a mistake, you were a fool for not killing me." I shook my head. 'Thanks for pointing that out, Roland. I didn't knew, after all, there isn't many people that live long enough to say that when they fight me.' I thought before I pointed my sword at him. "Hell's Chains." After saying that, many black chains came from the ground below Roland, binding his feet.

"Such tricks won't work on me!" He exclaimed before he broke them with his sword.

'As I thought, his sword can destroy anything, be it magic or Nen. Amazing.' I nodded to myself.

(This is not the time to be amazed, he is coming!)

After her warning, I bent my body. My feet were on the ground, and my head almost touched the ground. All this to dodge his attack. I am sure that if I got hit by that, I would have been sliced in half. 'What an interesting opponent. My blood is pumping.' I smirked. "Athlete!" I kicked him with an string, and Haki empowered kick.

When my foot made contact with him, it broke the armor protecting his liver. Roland was pushed back, but not by much. After he dragged his feet, he lifted Durandal, before he hit it on the ground, creating a crater. The ground shook as if an earthquake was happening. This mini earthquake made me lose my footing for a few seconds, however, even if it was for just a little, Roland took the opportunity to close the distance between us.

After getting close enough, he jumped and brought his sword down. 'Clever guy. He is going to use Durandal's weight, his own, and the gravity to empower his slash. Fine then.' I placed both my hands on my sword to block his strike.

*Bam*.

As soon as both our sword collided, the ground around me was destroyed, but I managed to stop the attack. However, his destructive ability cannot be underestimated. He actually destroyed half of my armor just with that swing. I mostly use it as decoration since it looks cool, however, it is still my precious armor. After blocking his attack, I managed to win in the strength contest, and pushed him back again.

After he landed on the ground, I looked at him. "It time to end this. I am not the same as when I fought Sasha." My sword transformed into many red particles that clinged to my right arm.

My arm began to glow as a ghoslty red aura surrounded it. I lifted my arm up to the sky. "Condemn those who defied your rule. Hell's Judgement!" Along my arm, three dog heads appeared, they represented each one of Cerberus' heads.

Suddenly, a huge pillar of Nen concentrated on my arm. At this moment, I looked at Roland's eyes, and saw the expression of pure loyalty, and devotion towards his King. 'Fool. I kinda wanted to recruit someone so loyal to my family. Your future would have been so better if I had recruited you. A pity your life ends now.' After thinking this, I dropped my hand.

And similar to Ichigo Kurosaki's Mugetsu, a slash of red energy hit Roland, however, he lifted his sword, and blocked it, but he was dragging his feet for a few meters in an attempt of overpowering it. At this moment, Roland firmed his feet on the ground and decided to use all of his strength to stop my attack. "I am Roland! The knight wielding his Majesty's treasured sword! I fight to protect... the people... of Brune!" When he said the last part, he managed to break my attack, and actually managed to counter it with a huge wave of energy that was sent at me.

"Tch. Hunter's Carnival." I said.

Time froze yet again.

{What do you want? Can't I simply sleep in peace?!} Wolfy barely appeared, and was already complaining, when he looked at the wave of energy. {Ahhh, so you are going to lose? How amusing.} he wagged his tail. {The great Oemitsu Gre-... Brittania is going to lose, the Great God of War is losing?!} He decided to mock me.

"Alright. No more headpets or belly rubs to you until you improve your personality." I said with an stern glare.

{Wha!- Grrrrrr. Tell me what do you want then.} He said with an angry gaze.

"My other ar-." Before I could even finish my sentence my left arm was bitten off.

Suddenly, my other arm turned into another werewolf like arm, however, this time it was a yellow one. It looked ancient. "Wepwawet. The wolf who always find his way. The Opener of the Sky." When I stretched my arm in front of me, the wave of energy broke in two as soon as it touched my hand.

After acting like Moses, I looked at Roland, and saw that he had his sword down, and was painting a lot. "I lost." He said.

After he admitted that, I dashed at him, and sliced his throat with my claws. His last words were. "Your Majesty..."

Looking at the man who was fun to fight with, and was now lying on his own blood, I shook my head. "Roland, the Black Knight, huh? Even in your last seconds you were still thinking about your King. You deserve my respect." I turned around, and left the dead Knight on the ground.

After Roland's death, his army was completely scattered, and my army marched west with the objective of capturing the west of Brune before Sachstein and Asvarre had any funny ideas.

(Sofya POV)

'The King rejected any notion of a war with the mountain Kingdom. He even berated me like I was crazy for suggesting such an idea. He fears him deeply, I can see it. The King is afraid of losing another war... no, he is afraid of fighting another one. When I asked about the 20,000 captives that Oemitsu held, he said that he didn't knew of such thing. He almost accused me of treason if I did not retract my statement at that moment. My only option is staging a rebellion against Oemitsu inside his own lands.

If I could get the mountain people to follow me against him, then I would have a chance of defeating him... no even then I would still need at least 3 more Vanadis to have a change of killing him for sure. This is almost impossible to achieve. I know perfectly that it is impossible to get 4 Vanadis together, to fight for a common goal. They all act on their own interests. This is all but a dream.

Getting the mountain people to follow me would be impossible. They see Oemitsu as their God. As long as he leads them to battle, they won't lose. They will obey any of his orders, even if it means their own death. My only option would be to get his sister on my side. From the rumours, Oemitsu loves his sister more than normal a brother would. He even implemented a law that forbid people from looking at his sister's face, so now, she became an untouchable Goddess for the mountain people.

Some even pray to her. It is not like the people from Brune are any better. From what I heard, the taxes on her lands are the lowest on the continent, they never faced any type of droughts, and their 4 corps rotation system keeps everyone fed. She even allow everyone to be educated. In the surface, Oemitsu looks like a good King, however, he is a monster that is willing to sacrifice anything for his goals. I must bring him down... no I will kill him, and my first step to do so, is getting the assistance from his sister.' I teleported inside the palace, and right in front of me, a petite young woman with short-layered black hair and brown eyes was there waiting for me.

She has a large bust, slim waist, and wide hips, giving her an hourglass figure. She wore a black turtleneck, and jeans, accessorized with black-framed glasses and a necklace bearing the symbol that I was too familiar with. It is the same insignia that Oemitsu uses on his clothes, a wolf preying down on a poor victim.

Suddenly, the woman who was in front of me said. "Follow me." Before she walked ahead, ignoring my presence.

"Wait. My name is Sofya Obertas, one of the Vanadis." I bowed.

"Shizuku. The one who punched you in the back." The woman replied.

"Do you serve Oemitsu?" I asked while gritting my teeth.

"I don't serve him. I follow his orders out of my own will. If I wanted, I could refuse them." She said.

"How can you follow such a monster?" I frowned.

"Isn't it obvious? It is because I am monster myself."
