With day almost breaking Princess Joan could no longer bear her repeated failure she opted for running away. She didn't want to take Lucas with her as she didn't to to be a burden to him but there was nothing she could or say to shake him off.

"Lucas there is really no need for you to follow me, this is totally unnecessary" Joan had tried ti discourage him from going with her..

"Where you go I will go your life is my life. Anyone that wishes to come after you is also coming after me. That is the oath I took and I intend to stick to it till death Lucas reminded her with determination in his voice leaving Joan speechless.
