 It is true that being an heretic comes with such great dark powers but it was also a myth that a pure heart will be able manifest with these powers and the world will still be safe. No one is willing to give her chance to prover herself worthy accept one man.... 



Lucas also an abomination but of a more rare type swore an oath to Princess Joan to keep her safe even at the cost of his life without having a full knowledge of what he was about to go into. 

With time his loyalty will be tested and things became more difficult when he began to discover some truth about himself. He may have started his life as soldier but things will change when royal blood was identified in him. It was at this point that the guardian himself also needed someone else to keep him safe.

A Love Between Claws and Blood

Princess Freya was clearly confused on what to do with Rafinah. She knew Rafinah was bent on going with Princess Joan and Lucas. She also knew she was not bluffing when she said she won't give her blood for the location spell. Freya thought about using Joan's blood for the spell but remembered that a different blood line was used as an anchor. It was a kind of supernatural imposition to avoid anyone using Joan's blood to find her mother's body hence it was made that way.

But dragging Rafinah into this whole thing was something she was not willing to do yet.

"Rafinah this will be very dangerous. Right now anyone that sees Lucas can kill him on the spot. Anyone that Sees Princess Joan can also kill her on thr spot. What do you think will happen to you if you are seen along with them? You will probably die too" Freya said trying to put fear in her.
