"Look at this shit! You notified me that I am inside some Monster Forest. Who in the right mind will decline?" The first thing and continuous set of words coming out of her are curses.

"I was almost grateful for that Escape Rune only to find out I am transported to a more dangerous place!" She keeps on complaining and complaining to the floating screen in front of her.

"The reward is a map after escaping here. Ha! Don't you think I need that now? " The yammering continues for a few more minutes even after accepting the quest.

Getting tired of using her newly found voice she sighed.

She summons the system after a few minutes and pulls out the Hunting Spear from Inventory in Armors Tab.

'At least I can defend myself.' The surrounding dark forest with limited sunlight passing through the small gaps of the tall trees branches and leaves feels more dangerous after the new quest arrives.

'I didn't feel it earlier since I was puking my guts out but this forest gives an eerie feeling.'

She stepped on something, when she looked under her bare foot she saw the damaged mask she took from the keeper. She bent down to pick  the stained and cracked mask.

'She decided to keep it and put it in the inventory.

'This is the only thing that works well.' She thought after successfully storing the mask in the system's inventory

'It's nearly sunset. It is not wise to stay here. . . or anywhere here. . . in this forest.' sounding more and more dejected she ventures inside the dark forest cautiously.

Few hours later the sun set and the forest became darker.

Her black eyes turn into a golden color. The previous dark forest in her eyes is now well lighted like a night vision suddenly activated. Everything became clearer and her vision expanded to a few more meters.

"Finally a useful skill!" She smiled a little.

"My built in skills are not even half as good as this. Beginner's luck? really. . . " She is back at complaining.

'. . . but all these '???' are bothering me. My name in the system is '???'. I thought maybe because I cannot remember who I am. . . then another '???' appeared. . . the hunter spear belongs to someone, maybe it's a name, maybe it previously belonged to me or maybe not. . . These ques---'

A little far from her left side a rustling sound came from the thick bushes. Her Hunting Eyes cannot see beyond the thick bushes but it is swaying violently.

Her reflexes move her body and hide behind the nearby tree.

She swears that she heard loud stomping but her heart is also pounding begging to get out of her chest.

She cautiously peek from behind the tree cautiously. Her golden eyes shook violently and went back from hiding. Sweat from her forehead slid down to her nose and cheeks. She froze behind the tree. Unable to move an inch while holding her breath

"Haaa. haaa. haaa" She tries to quietly control her breathing and calm her violent heart.

'Monster!' Her brain screamed.

Three green humanoids passing 2 meters in height with big builds of muscles all over their bodies casually walking in the dark carrying big heavy looking wooden bats.

*Bzzzt* Bzzzt*

"Oh no! no! no! not now." The signs of gruesome images flashbacks are happening to her.

Vision of piles of dead bodies everywhere. A river with blood flowing, continuous loud explosions.

Then the flashback stops. Her nose is bleeding but her eyes are closed. She pant heavily as she clenches her tightening chest.

"Haaaa. haaaa. cannot. . haa. not. . Here '' She manages to stop herself immersing from the images.

Not only is her nose bleeding , her palms also have nail marks from gripping too hard. She glanced down at her bare feet bleeding from hours of walking.

'Dammit!' She slid down her sweating body against the tree.

While gripping her tightening chest a huge naked green foot came to her side. She ceases her breathing as she follows where the foot is connected. Her eyes open wide and her pupils shake as the giant green monster is staring down at her.
