Night in Monster Forest (2)

Long black hair sways in the cold wind as she sprints along the woods. Her sweat begins to drip and her heavy panting echoes in her ears.

Thanks to the hunting eyes, She can clearly see the way to the dark forest.

*ting* ting

[Fatigue + 1]

[Fatigue + 1]

Fatigue continues to rise. Her HP lowers after accumulating cuts to her body from the branches and rock she runs through.

*Thump* Thump* Thump*

Loud sounds of footsteps continue to hunt her down behind.

'Haaaa. I almost died earlier.' The green monster tried to grab her head. From the size of its hand she can bet that it can squeeze her head like lemons. Her adrenaline reflex saved her, she slid her body down then crawled over. She and the monster met eyes. It sends shivers in her body before the fear takes over and she starts running away.

*Ting

[Fatigue + 1]

"Ughh. . .Open System!"

*Ting*

THE SYSTEM:

MP :  0/30

Fatigue: 15/40

'So weak!' She checked her Stats while navigating through the forest. Her cracked and bleeding feet begin slowing down but she can't afford to stop even if it lowers her HP.

'If I stop, Those monsters will surely catch me.'

*Thump* Thump* Thump * Thump

*fiiiiiish*

A small smoke was released after she stepped on wild mushrooms.

'Those monsters are slow but they I don't think I can outrun them not with this sta---' She loses her balance. She  stumbled and rolled down over the grass until her back hit a big tree.

"ACKKKKKK!" She groaned in pain.

*Ting*

THE SYSTEM:

[You unequipped ???'s Paralyzing Hunting Spear]

All temporary skills and attributes will be off.

'I can't believe this.' She supports her back while there is a tingling sensation from her lower part of the body.

'The world is trying so hard to kill me.' Her vision returned to normal and it's taking time to adjust her sight.

*Ting

[Paralysis Tolerance: 1%]

'paralysis poison. . .' She massaged her numb legs. She didn't feel it at first because of the impact on her back.

*Thump * Thump *

She hurriedly looks for her spear weapon but the paralyzing poison is quickly spreading from legs to her hips. She drags herself in the grass  and keeps on looking for her weapon.

*Thump* Thump * Thump * Thump

The three green monsters finally caught up. Two of the monsters are holding their weapons openly. They may look the same at first but looking closely their big clothes covering only their lower body are different and a set of bone ornaments are hanging in their neck and waist. Their bodies have multiple scars also.

*Ting

[Paralysis Tolerance: 2%]

The middle green monster has more scars and is slightly bigger than the two on his sides. It also has a big scar in his face passing one of his eyes.

The monsters found her crawling in the grass.

The paralysis spread throughout her body. She can barely feel anything from neck below, She looks at the direction of the incoming monster and bit her lower lip. The three monsters are creepily smiling showing their yellow stained teeth. The middle monster tilts its head up slightly and the other two move towards the helpless girl.

'What a dumb way to die.' Her lip began to bleed.

*Ting

[Paralysis Tolerance: 3%]

One of them pulls one of her arms and lifts her unmoving body.

'This really a dumb way, for a mere --- ' Her thoughts was cut of as she was thrown in the hard ground.

"Ackkkkk!!" The paralysis numbs her senses but the crushing force is too painful for her weak body to ignore.

*Ting

[Warning: HP has dropped to a dangerous level]

'One or two more damage . . . and--' One of her legs was picked up again by the monster and it started dragging her.

'I refuse. . . I refuse to die like this'

*Ting * Ting

[Paralysis Tolerance: 4%]

[Paralysis Poison has been completely neutralize]

As soon as The System message popped out like a wave of water flashing her body, the numbness was gone almost instantly. Her vision and body control were returned to her.

"O-oouch!" The pain took over. Her HP has gone down to a  dangerous level and continuously takes damage from all the dragging. She looks at the monster's back.

"Open System" she mumbled

*Ting*

Fatigue: 35/40

'I am dying!' She immediately opened her inventory and drank her last remaining potion.

The monster stopped in its tracks and glanced at the body it was dragging.

Her eyes are wide open and looking straight at him.

She put her strength into a kick directing the monster's fingers to set her other leg free. She managed to break free and immediately put distance between them.

"Awwww. awww." She almost sprained her leg in that kick

The moon was out of clouds and gave a little light in the forest. A glimpse of a shiny object caught her attention. 

'Is that. . .'

*GROOOOOOOOOWL!*

The monster let a deafening growl at the direction of the escaped girl. The girl covered her ears in an attempt to block the sound but it was loud enough to leave her stunned for a moment.

*Thump* Thump *Thump* Thump

Three monsters march towards the girl. She ran away immediately after returning to her senses towards the shiny object she saw earlier.

*Ting * Ting

'If you won't let me go . . . I'll just kill you.' She glared at the approaching huge monsters as she prepared her spear battle.
