The Visitors (2)

'Is this still part of their estate ? If it is, they have a forest in their backyard. ' with Theo and Gio on her tail. She keeps on running nonstop.

Gio has been shooting invisible arrows and Theo tirelessly slashing, kicking and punching her for hours now. She barely manages to hold out by continuously running and consuming potions.

'I shouldn't have given my potions if I knew they would kill me' She cursed her stupidity as she ducked Theo's sword from decapitating her upper body from behind. She knows that Gio will attack next so she jumps mid air and lets herself fall from the tree and as expected the invisible weapon slash the tree in half in an attempt to divide her into two.

She looks at the sun setting.

'Few more minutes.' She is down to her last potion. Fatigues and bruises piled up again. She cannot avoid all the attacks.

'How come they don't look tired at all while I am chugging all my potions.' She frowns and internally complains as she drinks her last potion and before running again. She still hasn't landed a single hit on any of them even with all the additional speed.

The night has arrived finally.

[Temporary Skill: ???'s Hunting Eyes is fully Activated]

She stopped running and so did they. They came face to face and they halted their advancement.

'Golden eyes?!' Theo and Gio looked confused at the sudden change.

The hunting eyes expanded her vision and her reflexes worked her body overtime. She waited for the other one to be activated.

[Requirements has been met]

[Activating ???'s Hunting Spear Moonlight Effect]

'Time to counter'. She sprint towards Gio and tries to slash him, a slight piece of his cloak ripped.

'Tsk' The surprise element didn't do much. Gio's face is a carbon copy of Konrad. She thought Theo was the closest copy but she hadn't seen Gio upclose.

Theo attacks from above but she manages to avoid it with ease thanks to the hunting eyes. She holds the spear in right then attacks him when he holds his sword to block the spear she circles her spear around the shoulders and neck and pulls it on the other side. She ended up hitting him in his cheeks which caught him by surprise. The first attack that landed on him. She didn't stop there, the sword aimed at her arm was blocked and she circled her spear back to the right while bending her body slightly forward. She meets Theo's eyes a second before the spear's end hits Theo in the leg.

'Does he know the paralyzing effect? He is watching out for the spearhead but keeps missing the tail.'

Theo retreated after receiving two hits but she rushed towards him. Theo went into defensive mode but she disappeared. She made a quick side step and went for Gio who was preparing to attack.

She extended her hand at Gio's which made him hesitate.

"Inventory."

Old Cloth

She blocks his vision with the cloth before throwing it at the back where Theo is drawing his sword.

She disappeared before the cloth landed on the ground.

Gio groans after she slices his back. It wasn't deep enough because he pulled himself away but not enough to be left unscathed.

'It will paralyzed him in a few seconds, a minute at most.'

Theo went for her without glancing at his brother. They clash multiple times.

[Fatigue + 8]

'I have to finish this before fatigue piles up more.'

Realization hit her while clashing swords with Theo.

'He is . . . no they are . . ..' She was so focused on running and defending that she didn't realize it sooner.

She saw Gio in her peripheral vision. He had his cloak removed. He is wearing black sleeveless fitted shirt and both his arms are full of tattoos. He let a terrifying aura around him as hundreds of sparks danced around him. Our eyes met and I was paralyzed in place.

'It. . . didn't. . .' The paralyzing effect didn't work. Extreme coldness formed inside her. She can hear her heart slowing down when she realizes what is happening.

'They are . . . just playing . . .' Gio standing and watching while Theo is attacking and Theo's attitude after injuring Gio.

Attacks that last only for five seconds and give exactly 2 seconds before they switch.

She thought she noticed their pattern for combination attacks but she was wrong. Those are not combination attacks. It's individual hunting.

[Fatigue + 9]

[Fatigue + 11]

[Fatigue + 7]

She bite her lips as she looks at Theo swinging his sword at her neck. The once shining gold eyes turn black in an instant. She saw his blue eyes waiver and then instead of slashing her neck off, he jumped backwards. She stood before them weaponless.

She feels her neck getting wet. Putting her hand around her neck and feeling the blood rushing out, she knew it. The sword did reach her after all. She glanced down at her blood soaked feet, her slippers had been torn hours ago. It was not easy to run barefoot, holding the weight of each of their attacks. Her bruised hands are peeled off and the skin is falling. The black and blue nail wound marks on her palm are proof of how much strength she exerted to hold her spear.

Her desperation ,the running, hiding and defending, were all nothing but a child's play to them.

'Seeing me falling, crawling and enduring pain must be really entertaining to watch.'

[HP is dropping on dangerous level]

She ignored the glowing red system warning. She looks at them again, They still look the same. No sweat shed. They watch her bleed and she watches them. Their eyes glow against the night while hers blend the darkness.

She lost the strength in her legs and fell to her knees. She opened her inventory and took out the Monster forest Map and threw it in front of the brothers.

'I lost. '

*Blegh*

She vomited a pool of blood. The taste of iron in the mouth is strong and nauseating. It is frustrating that her efforts only amount to this. She can't help but smile at her helplessness.

"Wa . . .was it . . .fu. .n to see me. . . cling to life?" She smiled bitterly. She couldn't see their faces. She couldn't see anything for awhile now.

She heard the words that saved her from Theo's attack and she repeated it.

"Comeback Alive." She repeated it so low almost like whispering.

Her eyes closed before falling down.
