Fake Love

Inside the temple.

Zhi Yin turned her room upside down.

Why?

Why did Feng Ye Isey do this to her?

Wasn't her plan flawless then why?

She still loved him but what about him. The moment she became a holy lady, he found another woman to play with. That bitch even had the audacity to flaunt her love in front of her.

Zhi Yin wished to crush her into nothingness. If possible, she wanted to feed her dead body to wild dogs. How Dare that bitch try seducing Feng Ye Isey.

He was just hers and only hers.

She was fuming in anger when she heard a knock on the door.

"Enter" She spat.

An old lady in grey uniform quickly made her way inside. She ignored the mess in the room as she grasped the situation.

It seems her plan failed.

"Greetings to the holy lady"

"Cut the chase and tell me why you are here?" She wasn't in the mood to do chit-chat.

The old lady wasn't bothered by her attitude. "I am here to inform you about Feng Ye Isey and his fiancée."

Zhi Yin's expressions cracked.

"Say."

The old lady told her everything about how they both had a fight then reconciled afterward. She even told him how gently Feng Ye Isey cared for Qin Ru."

Smash!

The vase near her shattered on the floor.

Zhi Yin blood was boiling with rage. Just a few hours ago, he insulted her. He didn't even look at her forget about touching and now he was holding hands of that vixen and riding a horse with her.

Just what the hell!

Where was his undying love for her now?

Was it all fake?

Hot tears rolled down her cheeks.

The old lady tactfully exited the room.

Zhi Yin continued throwing tantrums while sobbing uncontrollably.

-----

In a dark hallway,

The old lady waited near the shelf. Soon she heard shuffling of books, from the shadows a handsome man came in light. The old lady bowed her head in respect.

"Greetings to the crown prince Zhao Shan"

The man nodded his head in response. Without wasting any more second, she spilled everything.

The man's smile turned chilly as he handed her a pouch of coins. The old lady's face bloomed a big smile as she thanked him.

"No worries. Leave before anyone one sees you here".

The old lady quickly bid her farewell while the man didn't moved a inch from his place.

"Qin Ru. Aren't you an interesting woman?" He whispered under his breath. Even he wasn't aware of how gentle he sounded when he took her name.

----

The horse rode non-stop. Ye Isey observed that Qin Ru had fallen asleep on him so not to wake her up, he slowly rode the horse, as slowly he can while supporting her body. They soon reached their destination, but Qin Ru was in deep slumber.

Ye Isey watched her as she slumbered.

"How dumb. Sleeping here so carelessly" He softly chided her but shifted his chest so she can comfortably lean on him. He too closed his eyes as he rested while holding her tightly, so she doesn't fall while sleeping.

Qin Ru slept comfortably.

Sun shined in her eyes. Her beautiful eyes fluttered as she woke up. She felt refreshed. It has been so long since she had such a comfortable sleep. As she grasped her surroundings, she noticed herself in Ye Isey's embrace. He was practically hugging her.

Qin Ru giggled.

She struggled to wake up. Her soft movements woke Ye Isey up.

"You up?" Since he was also sleeping his voice turned a little hoarse. Without waiting for her reply, he got down from the horse and then helped her.

"Why were you sleeping?" Qin Ru inquired.

Ye Isey stretched his limbs as he replied. "You were fast asleep when we reached here so I just let you rest for a bit but then I feel sleepy too and slumbered."

Qin Ru's heart stirred.

With a smile she thanked him.

She glanced at her surroundings and saw a big river flowing there. The flow was calm, but it was wide and looked pretty deep. It was calm and serene.

"It's so beautiful," she exclaimed.

"Yes. It is" Ye Isey nodded his head. He tied his horse to one of the trees and then followed her.

"You see that cave there? That the place is said to be spirit's hideout. My father went there and never returned. After his death, no one was brave enough to go there again."

"So, we need to investigate the cave?" Qin Ru asked for confirmation to which Ye Isey nodded again.

"In that case, I suggest you hide our horse well" She added.

"Why?" Ye Isey asked in confusion.

"Just do what I say," She urged him.

He did what he was told and came back to her.

"Are we done?"

"Yes"

"Let's go."

Ye Isey grabbed her hand. "How will you go? Do you even know how to swim?"

It was a water cave from which the river flowed underground. Marching there straight won't do them any good and due to water currents, they might get drowned in it.

It was risky.

"It is a subterranean river which runs either fully or partially beneath the ground surface One where the riverbed does not represent the surface of the Earth. Subterranean rivers may be entirely natural, flowing through cave systems. In karst topography, rivers may disappear through sinkholes, continuing underground. In some cases, they may emerge into daylight further downstream. The river starts in the nearby mountains but soon appears to vanish as it shifts course to flow beneath the Earth's surface ." Qin Ru said as she gazed deeply at the scenery in front of her.

Feng Ye Isey was highly impressed. "Wow. You sure know a lot about rivers. Are you a scholar?"

She was amazing.

He felt a gush of admiration for her.

Qin Ru lips twitched. It was an obvious knowledge about Guangxi. How can he not know this?
