PROLOGUE

The city buildings are tall, but I can reach them. I gently close my eyes when the sun rays hit me. It's more beautiful when it sets because you are aware of another light that will come to save you.

"Ahh, thank you for hearing our team proposal." I stopped looking at my nails, I hate the color, why do I even choose this? It's annoying.

"Can you repeat please the location of your proposal?" I said formally to the employee in front presenting her proposal. I rest my chin on my palm boredly look at the presenter. When I saw how nervous she was, I smiled at her so she can relax a bit.

"Yah..." I irritably look at Audric adjacent to me when he kicks my foot lightly! "I can fire you right now," I whispered and showed that I was serious about what I said, but he freaking just mocked me! Grrr!

"Uhm... Conchu, Ms. Municipality of Cavite." I stared at the employee in front, I glared at her before I reviewed my copy!

"Are you... perhaps... Wasting my time? Our time?!" I annoyingly said still moving the pages of my copy. Stupid! Why didn't I heard where was the location?! Or did she even mention it?!

"A-ahh, sorry. Ma'am..."I close my eyes in anger, massaging my temple. Sorry, sorry!

"You're insane, Do you know where were you?" I seriously ask getting devastated now. Try to say nonsense things and don't show you're face ever again. didn't they know what up with this day? This day is fucking... argh! I even got trouble my self getting up today, and this, this is the first thing that I face in this work.

"Bel-air, ma'am." I immediately closed my eyes in anger. I know! What is happening to our employees ?! God? This is not the first time this thing happened!

"Calm down, hot-headed. You look like a dimwit because of what you're acting." Audric on my side whispered. Dimwit your face! I glared at him before calming. it's so early in the morning, gosh!

"Bel-Air, right?" I pressed and looked straight into her eyes but she avoided me first. "Bel-air, is under the municipality of Makati... Makati! The business center of the Philippines! God!" Everyone in the room was also bowing and shaking their heads, some are whispering to each other

"You guys didn't even query about it!" I exhorted on our fellow boards inside with us. I'm spacing out already, they're still imitating! If I don't ask they won't notice either?!

"So do you think your proposal will have sales? You'll just waste the funds to build that!" She bent down even more and was already sweating. It's been a while since I've seen her back and forth in this meeting room, and it's not just the first time he's been scolded if it's not me, the board members is.

"I'm really sorry for today." I sigh. Can that word change the current situation? I drank my bottled water and stared at Audric grinning beside me! Didn't even do a thing! This freak.

"Adjourned." I simply said and my companions in this room stood up leaving the room. "Thank you." I still said to the employee fixing her stuff before I leave. He looks like she's about to cry, and maybe her confidence will grind down. Even though I was angry I still understand her. I was once in her shoes.

"Should I get now your temperature? You're so hot 360." Dric, tease. I slap his stomach before entering my office. I look back when he didn't follows.

"That's new. Maybe he got a call or something came up, argh, never mind." I remove my blazer putting it on the sofa handle. I heavily sat on the sofa looking at the three mini candle display on the coffee table. I lay down halfway, stamping my head on the sofa.

"Stress... stress.. stress... more stress! Argh! This company making me geriatric!"

"HAHAHA!" I glared at Audric that made him cough. He cleared his throat before speaking again just to tease me. "I mean, HUHUHU?" I throw him a pillow but he handles it while laughing.

"I don't want this, you take care of this burden company, I don't like the work. Ts." I pout averting my gaze by closing my eyes. I never do want this thing. It's fine if my father is counting on me, but he's not here either, I don't want him too.

"I've heard that a million times, Louize Cyer." He sarcastically said sitting on the single sofa. "Just marry me, louize, so that it won't be a hassle for the both of us to pass the papers... Well in that way, your wish will be granted. How about that?" I laugh sarcastically, putting my palm on my face!

I mellowly show up my middle finger on him before standing up to call my secretary. Tss, I actually don't need a secretary but this guy with me is so stagy.

"Yes, Ma'am?" Kai, answered after I call her, She was still sipping coffee while smiling at me and raising two eyebrows. I chuckled on her face before pointing her forehead having pen ink.

"Uhm, yeah, schedule?" She hurried to pick up the tablet and then approached me and reviewed it.

"Ahh, one before lunch, 2 after lunch and one at evening with Ms. J." I stare at her. "10 am with CFG, 1 pm with the head engineer in the project at Palawan, and 3 pm with Mr. Felix at the univ. Last is the rehearsal runway for the models with Ms. J." I bit my lip before nodding. But that's kinda ticky sched.

"Can you ask, if we can delay the meeting with CFG? She only just bring problems, anyway. I'll meet first, Sir Felix." I gave her a smile when I look up at her staring at me.

"Yah! You're making your colleagues set time tight!" I winced on what I've heard and about to grab Audrics's hair but stop midway noticing that another employee was looking at us! I fixed my posture smiling again at Kai.

"That can happen right?" She hesitantly nods her head before giving me a sweet smile. "Call Mr. Felix that I'll be there in an hour. Thank you." She nods again before typing something on her phone.

"Uhm, what's up with Gess?" Smiling as she tilted her head slightly, looking at me.

"Huh? Ahh, Ms. J, yeah, She was hired by the director of the lingerie runway program, and she said that she put you up to be part of it, hehe." She explained making my brows furrow.

"Time is running, baby." I gave Audric an amused face. Yuck! Baby his face!

"So, I'll be joining the models or what? A judge or something? What's the trip of that girl?!" They both laughed at me making my face crunches.

"She didn't said it, Ma'am. Maybe you don't agree if she says. She will just say it at the venue." I sighed nodding at her. Do I have a choice? That was my dream that I didn't pursue. I can't actually.

"I'll join!" Audric immediately said after we entered my office again. "Ui! Driver?! Please let me? Pft. Cheap!" My lips parted as I scoffed sarcastically at him.

"Okay."

"Nice, wait, I'll just change, it's hot there, Haha!" He said then hurried out of my office. I just changed into my white shoes because of... I dont know, Just my trip... Audric also came back immediately so we went out and went to the parking lot. He was the one driving the car, we brought his because he insisted. After an hour we arrived at the University to meet Sir. Felix. I mean my Uncle.

"Hep!" I stop him when he tries to open his door. He confusedly looks at me like a kid. "Drivers doesn't join their boss. Stay here." He sniffed but I ignored him and left. I winced when I saw that the walk to the building was still a long way...

"Who even ordered them to sparsed the buildings?!" I shooked my head before running to the shed. There's no student around so I assume that they're all in class, or not?

"Ow! Good morning, Ms!" The clerk greet me, I gave her a nod and a small smile. I'm at the college building and the teacher's hall was in secondary, based on Audric.

I walked even faster when I saw freshmen or maybe sophomores men smiling and waving at me. Damn, maybe leaving Audric there is such a regret.

"When I arrived at the building, I asked a maintenance guy how to get in the Office. He said that it was on the 5th floor so I just use the elevator, instead of the stairs.

"Are you that excited?" I scowl at Audric in the other line.

"Nyeh, Gess, send something to you, reply to it right away as she command. You'll be dead if you won't." I groaned, ending the call. Those two are like kids! I opened the attachment and read it while walking.

"Oh my god!" I stopped when I felt my arm got burned! I immediately open my bag to find my handkerchief but I don't have one! I have no choice but to use my blazer hangs in my other arm.

"Damn." I look at the Man panicky wiping his dress shirt. I got shocked when He grabs my arm, wiping it.

"Tsk... Watch your way." My lips parted because of his tone, I'm still at fault!? "Does it hurt? I'm sorry." I was stunned when our vision suddenly hit. The concern in his eyes was visible and I couldn't take it either and immediately avoided it.. "You okay?"

"Huh? Ahh, Yes. Sorry." I grab back my arm when I feel awkward. I look at him from head to toe, he was in his uniform and specs, he was holding some papers on his left arm. I lightly tap my chest to calm my heart down, it was beating so fast as it will beat for the last time. At least I'm still alive.

He's the only one who made me feel I'm, alive... back then.
