CHAPTER XVIII:IS SHE IN LOVE?

Eury's POV,

Yesterday I experienced many new things that I have never done before.

And felt new feelings that I never realized before...

"You look oddly different today..." Kairos suddenly says from my side.

I look at him with a confused look on my face. He just stares at me with his blank face. I stare back at him with an even more intense look. Now he is staring way too harder at me that it almost looks like a glare.

Without realizing it this has become another staring contest again. Both of us are not holding back. Unlike before, Kairos is putting a fight with me now. Well, he wants to defeat me in everything...

Tss... This is childish.

But it doesn't mean I will let him win!!

Our classmates start to gather one by one and putting a bet on us.

"OI!! GUYS LET'S BET OUR LUNCH TO WHO IS GOING TO WIN!!!" Our classmate announces to everyone in the room.

"I'm GOING TO BET EVERYTHING ON EURY!!!"The other guy declares to the whole class then places his money on a desk. That made everyone goes wild and starts putting their bets also.

"KAIROS, MY BROTHER!! DON'T LOSE AGAIN TO EURY! I'll BET ON YOU!!" Finally, someone has placed a bet on him for the first time...

"KYAHH!!I WANT TO HAVE A STARING CONTEST WITH BABY KAIROS!!! CAN WE JUST PAY HIM TO DO IT?!!" His fangirls squealing over him.

Why are they even betting on us? This is only a match between us two.

But if I win they should make sure they will give me my part on the money bet.

"I am not going to lose to you anymore!!!" Kairos firmly declares but too bad. No matter how much determination he will put I won't let him win.

I smirk at him then glare even more at him. "Oh really? Haha too bad because it's your fate loser!" I mockingly say to him. His jaw clenched while his forehead creasing.

It's painted all over his face that he is going to give up anytime.

While I am still nowhere from losing. I look at him more relax and playfully grin at him.

"Oh my...Are you having a hard time now? Why just give up then??" I'm trying to provoke him even more but he just glares at me even more.

"You're in love." He bluntly utters out of nowhere.

I was surprised by what he said that it made me blinks.

"Oh! EURY BLINKS!!!" His friend who bet on him announces to them.

Everyone in the room was shocked as well. I can hear the sigh of disappointment coming from the people who place their bets on me. On the other hand, the only few people who bet on Kairos rejoices to their first victory.

"YAYYY!!!!" they all cheer as if Kairos just won in an Olympics. Stupid...

Kairos looks at me with his smug look. "So I am right, huh?"

I raise my left eyebrow at him. "Huh..?" I ask in annoyance.

What is this moron trying to say?

He looks at me closer. "You are in love, right?" Then playfully smirks at me again. I just gave him a poker face because I don't know what this guy is talking about?

One of our classmates has overheard it then joins our conversation." Eury?! In love?!! Pfft hahaha hahaha, that's too impossible. I would even bet all my money on that!! Eury will never be in love!!" he said in conviction.

Idiot, how sure you are that I will never fall in love? I am not a robot.

"How sure you are, huh?!! Eury might find someone who will exceed her high standards!!" My other classmate opposes him.

Now they are starting to have a debate.

Seriously? Where's our subject teacher now?

"Huh?!!Impossible!! No one can even meet her standards. Every guy in this school is only a peasant for our EURY!! No one deserves her!!" He firmly claims it to the whole class.

What makes you all think that I have high standards morons?

"That's you!! But someday Eury will find a perfect, handsome and cool prince for her!!!" She dreamingly says and the other girls are agreeing with her.

I just sigh because of their nonsense.

I don't need a perfect guy just like what you are thinking.

Claude is perfect but he isn't real.

In the real world, no one like him exists.

"I am sure the guy for Eury is very handsome, smart," She elaborates one by one again. Seriously how many times do you have to emphasize the handsome part?

Then there's only one person that comes into my mind.

He's good-looking but he's definitely not smart.

He's stupid academically and clumsy in many ways.

"Mysterious..." She added.

He's definitely not a mysterious person to me. He's way too easy to read.

"And very cool!!!" She exclaims.

Most definitely not.

He's clumsy in so many ways. Awkward most of the time.

But that makes him-

"Different from the other guys!! He is the one destined to our Eury!!" She finally ended her speech. Everyone nods in agreeing to her.

Why is everyone concern about my love life when they don't even have their own?

"But I am sure that guy is not exactly what she described..." Kairos suddenly whispers to me." Look over there..."

I look in the direction where Kairos is pointing me. Then I see Shiloh outside the hallway talking to another girl. They are both laughing at the same time also. I can't hear what their conversation is about.

My jaw clenched because of the annoyance that I don't where it's coming from?

"If you don't hurry...Someone might steal your man from you..." Kairos teasingly whispers to me again. I face him again.

"Tss... I don't even know what are you talking about." I tell him without stuttering to convince him that I don't know what he means.

I am aware of it. I recently just realize it...

When I start not to play the otome game (Dating stimulation game app) anymore, unlike how I used to always play it before when I am at home.

When I stop watching Claude's videos and reading his manga...

I know that moment that I am slowly starting to like my reality.

I realized why I liked Claude. He is my comfort character. He embodied all of my ideals but that's it.

It's not love, I know it for a long time...

I just don't know what love is before...
