The Pokemon Trainers' School was located at the main district of Rustboro City. Though, not at the center of it, but more on the edge of the district. It consists of five buildings and large fields, which covers around an area of 20,000 square meters. No wonder the tuition is so expensive, as the academy covers a large prime land within the city. Standing at the gate, Paul could perceive the style of the academy; with its neatly cut buildings bordering the training venues. Most of the buildings were primarily white, with some other color representing the function of the building. A wide sign of "Pokemon Trainers' School" could be seen above the entrance. While in the center of the gate, the symbol of the school is present, which is similar to a pokeball, but it is wholly colored red.
Paul's parents separated with him to fix up his documents and entrance examination, leaving him with a teacher who would introduce him to the buildings of the school. The one who's guiding Paul currently, is the vice principal of the Pokemon Trainers' School, Mr. Asana, who's currently looking at him curiously. Mr. Asana was quite intrigued by this child, as he was the only son of the Crimson couple who's well known for their breeding business and, their sharp and vicious business acumen. Their accomplishments were spread quite far, that even he, the vice principal, was made to tour their only child.
Presently, the academy was quite knowledgeable regarding students from well-known families that would take the entrance exam, but besides the principal, most faculty were surprised to know that one slot was reserved for the only son of the Crimson Family. It was rumored that their son was a genius and was trying to enroll to their school at the age of three years old. Though, there were also another rumor of another big shot family's child would also try to enroll this year. Looking at Paul, Mr. Asana could not find the hint of a three-year-old from the child in front of him.
Despite being a child, you could see the features of a handsome man mixed with delicate features coming from his mother. It could be seen that he would be quite a looker in the future, especially with his striking red hair and pair of ruby eyes. His look was firm, but you could notice the hint of excitement and curiosity. He did not look like one bit of a three-year-old, but rather of a five-year-old, that was quite unusual. All in all, his first impression of Paul was that he looked like a bright and smart child.
Mr. Asana, who was peering over Paul, did not notice that he spaced out while staring at him. To get the older man's attention, Paul coughed rather loudly. That seemed to get Mr. Asana over his dazed state. Finally getting the adult's notice, he initiated the tour that he was supposed to have, "Should we start the tour?".
Shaking his head to remove himself from his reverie, Mr. Asana agreed to Paul's statement. "Of course. First, I would introduce you to our current location, the Utility Building."
The Utility Building is the first construct one would encounter when entering the school. The building consists of three floors, is mainly covered in white, but with yellow doors, signs, and other adornments. Here, one would be able to find the Registrar, Cashier, and the Cafeteria on the first floor, while the Computer Laboratory, and Library on the second floor. Lastly, the Pokemon Deposit Room on the third floor.
The next one that was introduced to Paul is the Class Building, which was on the left of the Utility Building. Unlike the Utility Building, the Class Building consists of only two floors and has the color green as its secondary color. Here, the Faculty Room and Faculty Lounge could be found on the first floor, while the classrooms of the 1st years, 2nd years, 3rd years, and the 4th years are located on the second floor. On its upper right, another building could be found, which is the Battle Building.
The Battle Building consists of three floors, with each floor dividing its use. The Battle Class no.1, Battle Class no.2, and the Battle Hall is located at the first, second, and third floor, correspondingly. It has the color blue as distinction. A building on its upper left is the Doctor Building.
The Doctor Building also consists of three floors, though it has red as its representing color. One could find the Infirmary covering the whole first floor, with Poke-Biology Laboratory no.1 and 2 covering the second floor. The Biology Laboratory no.1 and 2 encompasses the last floor. Located at its lower left, is the Contest Building.
The Contest Building has the color purple embellishing the building, though it has a similar layout to the Battle Building. Contest Class no. 1 covering the first floor, with Contest Class no. 2 on the second floor, and the Contest Hall encompassing the third floor. The five buildings are circling the last part of the school, which is the Training Venue.
The Training Venue is divided into four sections, one battle area for each class. This is the area where one could try and train, their own Pokemon, if they have one. Though, bringing one's own Pokemon is allowed, one still cannot initiate a Pokemon Battle to someone not related to the school, and one's own Pokemon should only be found in the school or their respective homes. Once found out that he or she is using their Pokemon outside of school's jurisdiction, heavy punishments would be cast out, with expulsion and possibility of being put behind bars.
After the tour, Mr. Asana left Paul alone to go to his duties. Paul was very happy and amazed at the quite complete facilities of the school. 'Really worthy of the expensive tuition' Paul thought.
Paul walked around for a few minutes until his parents found him scouring over the school's library. They informed him that he would take the entrance examination in a few minutes. But before that, they would eat their lunch first at the school's cafeteria. He also brought out the prepared Poke Food for his two 'Eevees', who was following him the whole morning with the school tour. After an hour, all of them finally finished eating. The school speakers reminded the children who would take the entrance exam to gather on the 1st year classroom located in the Class Building, at 1:00 p.m.
Checking at his watch, Paul saw that it was already 12:50 p.m. He and his parents immediately went to the next building and gathered at the front of the Class Building. Paul could see over five hundred people, with children in between. He was amazed at the number of the children, which he guesses that there are 200 of them. Knowing that they would do this the whole weekdays, which means that the entrance exam gathers around a thousand children. Not mentioning that people who could take the entrance exam is either those coming from a respected or rich family, or those who have brilliant results that are aiming to receive one of the three scholarship spots.
'Oh…Okay. I think I need to be more serious regarding this exam.' Paul thought as he considered the one thousand supposedly examines for the 25 seats in the first-year class.
