From Sorrow's Bone Part 1

Noe grapples Rosalind's upper arms, "You can tell me about what happened another time. Will Daniel be okay?"

Cracking an unamused smile, Rosalind shoves Noe's hands away from her, "Can you relax?"

"No, I can't," Noe seethes.

For a moment, the vengeful frustration contorted on Noe's face reminds Rosalind of her father.

Rosalind's rage skyrockets, "You know I just did Daniel a favor, right? Why are you treating me like a criminal?!"

Even to those who choose not to see, Rosalind's agony is poignant across her face.

Taking a deep breath, Noe lifts his hands in surrender, "I'm no-"

Noe's raised hands shoot bullets of terror through Rosalind.

Flinching in defense, she punches Noe in the ribs.

Fragments of Noe's ribs splinter out of place. A gasp escapes Noe before he instantaneously heals. The cracks unite as if nothing happened.

Noe was not expecting the attack.
