New home - prologue part 4

The boy had a pleasant ride as he particularly liked the comfortable leather seats on the shuttle. While driving the boy watched the landscape.

In the distance to the horizon he could only see the dark blue water of the sea, which really surprised him. On the other side you could see the many skyscrapers of the big city from the window.

As the woman said, this city is one of the second-class cities and is therefore mostly only inhabited by normal people or business people. The cities are not named with words, but with numbers and since this city is a second-class city, its name is therefore also two-digit, namely 12.

The people also lovingly call the city "The City by the Sea" because it is one of the few cities that are by the sea, as this is more dangerous than in the country. But here there are few or no monsters in the sea and the rest is kept from the mana zone.

The boy continued to observe nature as they approached the city center. He noticed that there were a lot more shuttles on the way here, but from the outside they didn't look as modern and expensive as what they were currently using.

The shuttle guided through the air and the boy marveled at the large glass houses that stretched up to the sky. He was completely caught by the bright and dazzling image of the city, so that he did not even notice that the shuttle was slowing down and then finally stopped in the middle of the city.

When the boy noticed this, he got a little excited. He rarely showed feelings but you could easily see the excitement, which made the others smile. Disembarked from the shuttle, they made their way into the one building.

When the boy stood in front of it and looked up, he couldn't see the end. His new mother took his hand to pull him further, because he didn't want to stop looking up, which also attracted one or the other look.

They entered the entrance hall. The first thing the boy could see was the huge hall that awaited him. The walls were made of white marble and decorated with gold patterns. In the middle stood a large fountain with a figure also decorated in gold from which the water trickled.

On the sides stood a par of trees of various colors. One blue, the other red and even a golden one was there. Under the trees were wooden benches carved into works of art that you could sit on to enjoy the calm atmosphere.

The further the boy went, the more he could discover new things. A noble spiral staircase, with a deep dark blue carpet, led him to the next floor, where he was greeted by calm and relaxed piano music.

When he looked around, he could see the piano, which played by itself, which surprised and confused the boy.

As he walked on he came to a small café with a par of people sitting there. Two of the three tables were occupied and there was a man and a woman of slightly older age in very high-quality and luxurious-looking clothes, drinking coffee.

When they noticed the boy, they looked surprised, what is such a boy doing here, they asked themselves, this is no place for strays. Shortly before the first uprising to throw the boy out, his adoptive parents came from behind to take the boy with them.

When the others saw this, they humbly greeted the family and asked about the boy. After learning that the boy was adopted by the two of them, their behavior towards him changed drastically as they suddenly started smiling at the boy and complimenting him on his appearance. The boy didn't like people and tugged on his mother's sleeve as a sign that he wanted to go.

They made their way to the elevator, which took them to the top in no time.

Once at the top, his new home awaited the boy.
