Ch. 5: to rescue & protect part I

Beau opens his eyes and he can barely see a light as he hears the voice of the rest of the guild talking about the last task. someone says something about a rescue mission while Beau stands up still with his eyes half close. Self-Bet isn't sure about this and she asks Chicken Wrath for his opinion.

Beau washes his face and then he gets out of his room to talk with the rest of the Guild. he believes that his opinion is important. he doesn't want to be left behind or seem as an useless person when he has fought as hard as the others to stay alive.

Joaquin tells everyone that it is clear that the task is simple and they can't change the task nor interpret it at their will. they had to do whatever is need for them to do or they might be disqualified from the game. Joaquin reminds everyone that the game has simple rules that had to be follow. the arguing has stopped.

the task that they were given is simple; the Hydra is protecting a hostage that they had to save before they are eaten or killed by the Hydra. rule number 1 implies that they can't killed the Hydra not because it is wrong, but because it is too dangerous for the guild and the hostage. rule number 2 implies that if the hostage is killed before or during the rescue mission the mission would be marked as a failure and the guild would suffer a lethal penalty. as for the hostage they are going to be a new person on this game.

Doctor Middle Finger indicates that if the whole guild goes to the mission it would be dangerous because their base can be attacked by another guild, also it would be easier for the Hydra to notice their presence. he suggests that the guild should be divided in two group of five. group A protects the base while group B rescues the hostage.

everyone accepts Doctor Middle Finger's idea and then they start to chose who stays and who leaves. it is important to send to the mission those who are capable of thinking and acting properly in a moment of crisis as well it has to be important to leave someone strong enough to protect the base.

after a long hour of thinking and arguing the two groups are decided. group A would be formed by; Lord Golden Ass (Beau), Doctor Middle Finger, Choco-Coco-Latte, Teacher Hero, and Joaquin Fernandez. and group B is formed by; Self-Bet (Leah), Alpha Purple Warrior, Chicken Wrath, Peace Inn, and Don-Savage.

in a few minutes group B would go out there to save the hostage. but before that they are all going to eat, also they are going to think of a plan to save the hostage and to protect their base. Beau feels a wound on his pride after being told that he wasn't good enough for the mission so he had to take care of their settlement with others. Beau rethinks the situation and he accepts this as an opportunity to prove himself worthy of the respect of everyone in the guild.

the mission for every Guild categorized as Hero is to rescue a hostage and also protect their base at the same time. the mission to every Guild categorized as Fallen Hero has to either attack their base or make sure the hostage dies before they fulfill their mission. this is a crucial moment for every guild. those who failed this mission are going to be punish by Zeus or Hades.

information about Son of Sun: those who survived a 'game' after the maximum quantity of "Offerings" had won the game. are send to another game, but because they had experience in a previous game they are able to enter inside of the game in a level above of the levels of the first phase.

information about Son of Sun: the first phase is the given name to the first levels in which the Gods test the capacity of survival of the "Offerings" to see if they are qualified to be a worthy "Offerings." is obligatory for every game of Son of Sun to have the first phase.

in the settlement of the Skull Breaking Silence Guild. Master of Lies has the proposal of killing the hostage of any weak guild, but Mad-Matician has a completely different plan. he asks the rest of the guild members if it won't be more satisfying to attack the settlement of Unit Zero and killed whoever is in the settlement as a message of their strength. Master of Lies didn't like that idea but he has no other choice but to follow his guild without remorse. he took this path for a reason and now was too late to retract.

everyone in their guild agreed with attacking the settlement of Unit Zero. it might be a playful act of randomness or a silly joke from destiny, but what was certain was the fact that Master of Lies would face his previous comrades soon. would they understand his situation? or would they rightfully judge him based on his treason? there were a few questions in Master of Lies' mind and every single one of those questions were deserving of answers, but would he accept the answers to his acts, or would he not.

Mad-Matician could read every though in the head of Master of Lies. he was enjoying of his pain and he is thinking in how satisfactory would be to slaughter his friends in front of his eyes. Mad-Matician was the epitome of madness. how can someone as twisted as him could pretend so easily to be sane for so long? there are no words to describe how sadistic and insanely sick is the true nature of the man behind the username of Mad-Matician.

every member from the guild of Skull Breaking Silence was ready to attack. they all had weapons, med kits, and more necessary essential materials. the Organ Florist was going to lead his Guild to a bloodthirsty battle.

in the meanwhile on the settlement of Unit Zero. Beau is sitting on a chair in the middle of the entrance of the settlement. he is holding a shotgun, he has a cigar on his mouth. Hero Teacher puts a parasol in front of Beau to cover him from the heat. Hero Teacher sits next to Beau in another chair.

"do you think that you have an opportunity? you know. winning this game."

"why do you asked? I am a brute, dude I don't know about changing the past or predicting the future, I am all about fucking up my own present while I curse whoever put me in this situation and I look with lust at every skirt in a two meters radius."

"fuck, I am not even sure if I am allow to say this. I will say it then. I make a deal with a Greek grim reaper and I am running out of time.... I might die in a few months and I want you to know that I did everything in my power to rescue you. I tried and if you don't see me, like ever again. I don't want you to think that I give up on you, dude. I am sorry."

"we fucked it up big time. what are you so worry about if we are both going to hell... now that I am thinking this properly they better had ten nymphomaniac hot, like really hot ladies down there for each dude or otherwise I am going to complain with human services or should I say sinner services."

"how long has it been since the last time that we spoke like this? I fucking miss you in the real world man.... this feels like some nightmare-ish dream to remind me that you are gone in the real world."

"what are you crying about? you imbecile, I am the one who has every right to be crying. I won't forgive you nor this Greek gods for letting me die virgin. I wanted to pop my cherry at least once before dying. that is why I am telling ya, I want ten gorgeous sex-maniacs on hell ready to do me all the dirty things I couldn't do in the mortal world."

"dude may I be honest? you had always scared me with your horny talk and persona."

they keep talking for a long time ignorantly towards what is to happen soon. Federico is at the moment on his room trying to sleep, he haven't sleep much, he spend many nights studying the maps of the place and planning many possible responses to any possible unexpected situation.

Doctor Middle Finger is in the infirmary accommodating some medicine as he also prepares some handmade medicine with healing plants. how strange, he never saw himself as a doctor nor anything alike in the field and here he is playing doctor inside of a Virtual World more real and dangerous than the real world.

Choco-Coco-Latte is in a training building getting his body ready for battle. he knows that bastard of Mad-Matician so well and he knows he is going to attack the settlement. Mad-Matician is a sick delusional bastard with a superiority complex. he needs to be ready to wash his hands on the blood of his enemies. only in that way he would feel that he has bring peace to the graves of his dead comrades.

at the moment on group B's side. Chicken Wrath is leading the group to an underwater cave in which the Hydra is supposed to be holding the hostage. Alpha Purple Warrior is interested in proving to the others that he has become stronger. there is a wall of pride on his face while he walks with determination. the past days had been hard on everyone but that has also helped them to face their reality.

Self-Bet is making sure that she has some important objects on her inventory. she takes a piece of bread out of her inventory and she eats while she walks. Don-Savage asks her if she is hungry and Self-Bet answers with a simple "no" later she explains that she thinks better while she is chewing something.

Don-Savage and Peace Inn are talking about a hunting trip they had once with their father. Don-Savage laughs really hard. Peace Inn asks him if he actually remembers does days or is every memory a trick played by the Virtual World. in a situation like this one is hard to know what is real. Don-Savage tells her that they are real, as real as is their bloodline.

Chicken Wrath is curious in knowing why was he assigned as the leader of this group and why Joaquin didn't wanted to leave the settlement. he could feel something bad was about to happen but at this moment it was too late to return and if they return the hostage can die leading to their defeat. the only thing that he could do for them is praying for their safety.

after a long time walking they were finally on top of the underwater cave. for a moment the five of them were frozen in fear when they realized that this mission wasn't meant to be won easily. Chicken Wrath takes a deep breath before jumping on the water follow by the rest. they are swimming slowly inside of the cave.

"I just felt deep inside of my bones, how fucking scary is this rescue the hostage bullshit."

said Don-Savage who is afraid of lizards.

"stop being a pussy and be a man for once."

yields Peace Inn disappointed in her brother's cowardice.

"both of you shut the hell up.... that fucking giant lizard is going to be awaken by your screams."

said Chicken Wrath convinced that he took the wrong group for the rescue mission.

two hours later on Pandora's Temple. Richie and the Ferryman are walking at the same time towards Pandora's office. Richie has to give every report about the movements of every player and every change that has happen during the last test of chapter five. the Ferryman on the other hand is trying to talk in private with her about important issues.

the two of them get inside of the office and Pandora is annoyed by the enmity in between Richie and the Ferryman. she asks them about their reasons to be on her office. Richie gives her the documents and then he leaves. the Ferryman closes the door of the office and he walks towards a chair and before he can sit down he is stop by Pandora. the Ferryman tell her that what he has to tell her is extremely important and it is going to be a long story, so he is going to need to take a sit to feel comfortable.

"you better had a damn good reason to be here."

"lady Pandora, we are in danger. the Egyptians and the Norse are acting strange lately and you know that I don't trust in the Mayans nor Aztecs."

"don't worry it is not meant to happen, not jet. they are only getting ready for whenever the time comes to fight once more."
