Ch. 5: to rescue & protect part II

[announcement: to make things more interesting the deities Hades and Zeus had agreed on letting a herd of zombies attack the settlement of every Hero guild once every two hours for ten minutes until the guild rescues the hostage or the hostage dies.]

the members of Skull Breaking Silence are in front of the settlement of Unit Zero. the plan is to get inside of the settlement when no one is looking and to cut their throats. so far the plan seem to be perfect and everything seem to be going in accordance with their plan. out of nowhere Choco-Coco-Latte appears in front of them holding a shotgun and he shots directly at Strong Muscles blowing up half of his face.

[announcement: Fallen Hero Strong Muscles is dead.]

the members of Skull Breaking Silence are in shock and they were about to leave when they saw the horde of zombies that was going to attack the settlement at any moment. they all run towards the houses.

Choco-Coco-Latte aims at Nurse Kill-i.n.g.U and he pulls the trigger blowing up his left leg leaving him unable to run. Choco-Coco-Latte walks back inside of the settlement. nurse Kill-i.n.g.U drags himself while the zombies are getting closer. he yields for help knowing that no one is going to help him.

he was worth something for his companions while they could take advantage of his knowledge but at this moment he is of no use. no one stayed behind to help him nor either took pity on him. he was alone, he has always been alone in his entire life but it was until now that he knew that. after ten long minutes the zombies reached him and he was devoured alive by the zombies.

[announcement: Fallen Hero Nurse Kill-i.n.g.U was killed by zombies.]

the Organic Florist steps inside of the infirmary and he looks directly in the eyes of Doctor Middle Finger who is in shock unable to move. the eyes of Doctor Middle Finger are looking directly at the knife on the hands of Organic Florist. he puts the knife away and he also puts a gun away.

"I don't intend on killing a Doctor for no good reason. the only reason why I am in here is because I want to see the full capacity of my fellow companions to survive. if they can't survive on their own then they are unworthy of been anyone's companions. so what do you say if we chatter about any not important topic in the meantime? while I test how efficient are the survival skills of my companions."

"why not? so do you know about medicine?"

in another side of the settlement is Beau in a cabin with Joaquin killing any zombie that they see. Hero Teacher gets inside of the cabin. the three of them are spreading the bullets and some grenades. Joaquin gets out of the cabin follow by Beau and Hero Teacher. Beau reminds them to shoot to the heads. Joaquin shoots with his eyes closed (he is afraid of zombies.)

in the meantime on the cave underwater; the team is at the moment doing alright. Chicken Wrath didn't like that announcement about the zombies and he fears for the safety of the other group. Self-Bet tells him that there is nothing to fear and she tells him that they are more than capable of survival on their own.

Alpha Purple Warrior is looking with amazement to the cave that has its own kind of beauty. they hear a scream while they get closer to the zone in which the hostage is supposed to be. the screams become louder like a warranty that they were heading to the right path. they started moving slower in order to avoid attracting the attention of the Hydra.

from far away they could see a torch and one of the heads of the hydra. they all moved to the right in a line while they move as slow as possible to not make any unnecessary sound. after swimming for almost twenty minutes they were finally able to see the hostage who was a loud dude who was screaming and crying at the same time.

that guy seem so annoying that for a moment they doubt if it was even worth it to risk their lives for him. Chicken Wrath looks at some natural stairs made of stone that could take them out of the water and he told to the rest of the guys to get out of the water first before they start to think of a plan.

"this isn't going to work. I am not smart but even I know."

"my stupid brother isn't wrong for once."

"do I go back for the leader?.... I mean the actual brains of the group.... for Joaquin."

"I don't think we had the right equipment and I am not sure if we are ready to do this."

"can everyone shut the fuck up. for the love of the human rights stop talking."

yields Chicken Wrath so angry that he forget about the Hydra.

the Hydra drags the hostage deeper in the cave and everyone is looking at Chicken Wrath and they all blame him. Chicken Wrath wants to defend himself but he is just so tired of them that he thinks it is easier to just take the blame.

Chicken Wrath takes a can of tuna out of his inventory. he opens the can and he eats the tuna with a huge smile. everyone is looking at him. they can't believe that he decided to eat on this moment but they are also hungry. they take some food out of their inventories and they start to eat.

"I just want to clarify that it wasn't my fault, okay. you were the ones that provoked me and incited me to scream... what I mean is that I am not to be blame."

said Chicken Wrath trying to clarified his innocence.

"what are you talking about? you yielded on your own."

said Self-Bet.

in the meanwhile in the settlement of Unit Zero. Beau is washing his hands and face. Joaquin tells him that he doesn't need to clean himself because it isn't over until team B rescues the hostage. Joaquin has the feeling that they are going to be killing Zombies for a while something that isn't pretty.

Hero Teacher gets inside of the bathroom with them and he tells them that he saw members of another guild inside of the settlement. those words were enough for them to take things seriously. there are Fallen Heroes inside which only means one thing. they are here to kill every single one of them.

Joaquin tells them that they need to get to safety while he tries to find the other two guys. Beau tells him that he is going to go with him. this is the right opportunity for Beau to prove to everyone that he is more than a coward. he has to prove to everyone else that he is also part of this guild.

Hero Teacher tells them that he is going to log out because he has things to do. he logs out. Joaquin counts his bullets and he tells Beau to do the same thing. they go to the outside with a revolver, a riffle, some grenades, and a knife each. the whole place is too quiet which isn't a good sign if they are going to fight against other humans.

there are two Fallen Heroes on the roof of two different cabins. they are observing the movements of Beau and Joaquin waiting for an opening to attack them. Beau knows that he is been watch but he doesn't know where is the person watching him. he is really nervous trying to predict the movements of the enemy.

Joaquin takes some pills out of his inventory and he swallows two pills. Beau has a few questions but he doesn't say anything to not invade the privacy of his comrade. Joaquin notice one of the Fallen Heroes in the roof but he haven't seen the other one jet. Joaquin whispers in the ear of Beau but he warns him to not act careless if he doesn't want to die.

every step that they take is really slow and careful as they keep advancing. Beau notice the location of the second Fallen Hero and he whispers in the ear of Joaquin. now they know for sure that they are two of them and where they are. now the only thing that they need is to find the right opportunity to attack them.

Joaquin stops walking. Beau stops behind him and he turns around to cover his back. they start to count slowly getting ready to attack those on the roof. Beau is sweating nervously. Joaquin isn't sure if his aim is that good to even hurt one of them. this is a complicate situation of live or death. the silence is a dreadful warning of what is to come after.

at the moment on the cave. Self-Bet is looking at the huge crystals around of them. she takes a piece of one of those crystals and she puts it on her inventory. every step that they take makes echo. Self-Bet notice that from a while there has been this figure following them fro far away but she haven't say anything because that person haven't attack them.

Don-Savage is arguing with Peace Inn about many things. Don-Savage asks to his sister if there is anything that she misses from when they were alive. she is quiet for a moment thinking of the right answer and then she notice how long it took her to think in an answer which means that there isn't much that she actually misses from the real world.

Chicken Wrath is still eating at this moment. he is eating chicken wings and he throws the bones on the ground. the other guys are scolding him for his lack of care for the environment. Chicken Wrath is thinking really hard trying to understand something but he can't think of any possible answer. he stops thinking and he keeps eating with a huge smile.

Alpha Purple Warrior stops walking and the other guys also stop. they are talking to him but he is not interested in talking with them but with the guy who has been following them for a while. he tells them to be quiet. he yields telling the man who has been following them to show himself. the others are telling to Alpha Purple Warrior that there is no one when Man with no Face appears behind Alpha Purple Warrior.

"I am not here to put in danger your group nor kill the hostage. I am in here to help you pass to the next phase."

said Man with no Face with an honest facial expression.

"how can I trust in your words?"

said Alpha Purple Warrior knowing what type of person is the leader of Western Legends.

"here is a little secret for you ladies and gentlemen. I don't care if you die or survived but Lord Golden Ass needs to stay alive for the moment and I need him."

said Man with no Face looking directly at the eyes of Self-Bet.

"I don't trust in this man, but I believe in his words. let him help us only this time."

said Self-Bet trying to contain her fear towards that man.

they accepted the help of Man with no Face who offered himself to distract the Hydra while the others rescue the hostage. he is not a good man or a man of faith. the reason why he is helping them right now is simple. for his own good he needs Lord Golden Ass alive and advancing to the next phase. the truth and the absolute truth is that Beau's future is connected to his future and if anything goes wrong both of them would fall together. Man with no Face isn't helping them but he is helping himself in reality.

at the moment in the Zeus Tower. Zeus is having a meeting with Hades and Pandora. a servant of Zeus serves them a dessert. Zeus puts some documents on the table and he awaits for Hades to take them. Pandora is in there as an intermediary in between the two deities. Hades takes the documents and he reads them slowly trying to not miss a single word. he puts the documents on the table and he signs. Zeus takes the documents and he looks at the signature.

Zeus puts the documents in a suitcase. Zeus and Hades are talking about some of the "offerings" this year. Zeus complains about all the paperwork that he has to do every time that he is involved with a game. Hades complains about the same thing and he talks about the old good times in which they didn't needed of any paperwork. Hades tries the dessert and he congratulates Zeus for the pastry chef that works for him. Zeus laughs loudly while he also tries the dessert. he admits that it is really good.

Richie knocks the door before entering on the office. he walks directly towards Pandora and he whispers on her ears. Pandora nods. she stands up and takes the suitcase with the documents before she leaves the office follow by Richie who seems to be pale out of fear. Hades asks for a cup of tea while he keeps talking with Zeus. a servant brings a cup of tea to Hades who drinks the tea and feels relaxed. the servant leaves while Hades and Zeus are talking about their favorite "Offerings" Hades offers a bet to Zeus who accepts feeling the victory already on his hands.

"well that is a hell of a bet. I hope you don't lose too much."

"are you mocking me? I am the ruler of hell."
