The Origin Of Joichiro Hyakuzawa: Part 6

*Joichiro Hyakuzawa's POV*

//April 14, 2036//Monday//

"I just haven't talked about it to you-."

"Aah, nevermind, nevermind. Just save it for later at the house."

Rui started walking straight to school when I suddenly asked her something.

"Hey, why did you bring your shinai on the first day?"

Rui peeked behind me and replied with an embarrassed look on her face.

"I-I just felt like it."

Her face was as red as a tomato. She didn't feel like it, I think she just instinctively brought it to school, and just realized when it was too late to go back and leave it at our place.

The whisperings of the students stopped when Rui entered the school, and there are only a few students left outside including the two of us.

I gave a long sigh, and Asami noticed that I looked troubled.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Ah, It's nothing serious. It's just that Rui will surely interview me about our relationship."

"Interview?"

"Rui usually asks a lot of questions when something is up with my life, and the conversation goes on, and on for a few hours."

"It's because you didn't tell our relationship to your own sister, and that's why you are in trouble."

I saw Asami pouting her face like she was telling me that I'm embarrassed to tell my own sister about our relationship.

"I-It's nothing like that…"

After my tense reply, Asami chuckled and patted my back.

"It's fine! I'm just messing with you!"

"M-My bad…" I replied while scratching my head.

"Does your sister play Kendo?"

"Yeah, she loves it."

"Ohhh, that's nice to hear."

Now I get it, People kept staring at Rui earlier because she was carrying her shinai which attracted a lot of the students' attention.

Sigh… I told her to just be herself, but not to the extent of bringing something that you love.

"Is she a scholar just like you?"

"Umm… Y-Yeah."

I'm too embarrassed to say that, but Asami doesn't look surprised and her face looks more amazed about Rui being a scholar because of Kendo.

We heard the bell ring and classes are about to start. We still haven't checked what classes we are in.

"Don't worry about what will happen later between you, and your sister. Your sister looks nice, and she might be just a caring little sister for you about our relationship."

It's true. Rui really is a caring little sister.

Asami pulled my arm as she walk straight towards the entrance.

"Let's go?"

I smiled at the beautiful face of my girlfriend and nodded.

"Yeah, let's go!"

We entered the school and checked the class list posted on the board. The two of us hoped that we were in the same class, and as we check the list of students, we were lucky.

The two of us were classmates for our last year here in Highschool.

As we entered our classroom, more fortune came to my school life.

"JOICHIROOOO!!!"

Yep, you guessed it, Daisuke was my classmate as well as Genkei, and Itsuki.

There are a lot of familiar faces who greeted the two of us, and that made me happy.

Yep, this school year is going to be great! I am sure of it!

"Your attention please."

As the teacher entered our room, everyone sat on a chair they could find, and just like last year, Asami, and I decided to sit beside each other.

All of us greeted our teacher and paid attention to him.

"A great school year has started once again, and it seems like some of you have known each other before."

When I looked around, it is true that the students who are here right now are some familiar faces that I have talked to in the past.

"But I bet that all of you want to meet a new face, am I right?"

There are some people who started talking to each other quietly when our teacher asked that.

"Ehem!"

The teacher cleared his throat to gather our attention once again.

"There is a new transferee, and he will be joining your class for this school year. I hope that everyone will welcome him with warm smiles."

Our teacher then looked at the door after finishing his speech.

"You may come in, and introduce yourself."

The door suddenly opened, and the new student entered the room. Our eyes widened as soon as we saw who it was. He might be a new student in this school, but it was not a new face that we have seen for the first time.

White spiky hair, pale skin, and red eyes. He walked slowly in front and introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you all. I am Ken Yamazaki. Thanks for having me."

The boy we knew bowed his head, and my classmates started whispering to each other again. But of course, there is one curious loud-mouth student who can't keep his mouth shut.

"Are you THAT Yamazaki?" Daisuke asked who was sitting behind me.

"Yes, that's me. Please just call me Ken."

All of us were surprised when Ken Yamazaki himself confirmed our suspicions about him.

The Yamazaki is a well-known family for its contribution to the economy in Japan. Not only are their family rich, but they are really charismatic people with power that is even greater than the government.

"I know that Ken comes from a great family, but I need you all to treat him like a student just like everybody else."

Easier said than done. Besides, even my teacher is really nervous standing beside Ken.

"Class is about to start, you can take any vacant seat, Yamazaki."

Ken nodded his head and went for a vacant seat in front of the room. But before he went to his seat something bothered me.

Our eyes met, and it feels like he was glaring at me for some reason.

He looked around when he was introducing himself, but when Ken saw me, he stared at me like he knew who I am from the very start.

I don't have a clue at all.

The class has ended, and my classmates were leaving except for my teammates who were waiting for Souta to meet with us.

Asami left early since she was busy working on her cram school that she will be taking this school year for her college.

Asami wants to become a graphic designer, and she was really dedicated to studying just to enter a good university for the course she wants to take.

"Oi, Yamazaki! Do you want to hang out with us for a while?" Itsuki said.

Ken Yamazaki was also left in the room and he looks busy with his phone.

During class, I caught Ken looking at me from time to time, and it bothers me a bit. After his introduction earlier to the class, he glared at me, and this day, he kept on looking at me.

Seriously what is his deal?

"No, I'm good. Just do whatever you guys are doing." Ken replied with a faint smile on his face.

"Souta…"

Genkei pointed his finger at Souta that was covered with sweat who just entered the room.

"Oi Souta?! Did you take a swim or what?" Daisuke said while laughing at Souta's state.

"I-I'm sorry everyone! I forgot which class you guys are in."

"HAHAHAHA SERIOUSLY!!! WE JUST TEXTED IT TO YOU!"

"Aaaahhh… I'm really sorry, Itsuki-senpai."

"Let's go."

Genkei stood up from his seat followed by everyone else. While I was walking behind them, Ken called me.

"Oi."

Right when the others left the room, I looked back and saw Ken who was glaring at me.

"What is it?"

"I wonder…"

Yamazaki stopped texting and stood up in front of me with a smirk on his face.

"I wonder how long will you stay happy?"

His eerie smile was disturbing, but what made me frustrated is what he just said to me.

"Huh?"

I clenched my fists firmly out of frustration. This guy is giving me the creeps ever since class started. What is his deal? I didn't even know him from way before. What the hell?

"Oi Joichiro! You coming or what?"

Fortunately, Daisuke called me, and I looked away from Yamazaki and went outside the room.

I'm just going to ignore what he just said.
